Some names in Feedback have changed to 'guest' oO

I was checking my feedback recently looking for one of the names I did a trade with recently and noticed down the list some of the names have been changed to 'Guest'

What would cause this? All of those are from older post back in '10 and '09.

Probably the result of a temporary vulnerability that existed with the feedback system on the old Arena. Non-members were able to leave feedback (most of the time it was spam) until we figured out how to make it members-only.

We deleted the ones that we found, but since it was extensive, we didn't know where all of them were. So we missed some. When we transferred over to the new location, the feedback followed and we are unable to delete said old feedback. It gives us an error when we try.

Well that makes sense, except I never got feedback from non-arena members. Many of those I know were member names here on the area Would this also happen if the person is no longer a member?

I suppose that's possible too, or maybe they had their screen name changed at the old Arena. Sorry that we can't do anything about it though.

I believe our server admin said that some switched to Guest if the name they left the feedback with did not match a username. I remember the old form would let people enter any name (if they were not logged in), so if they put their first name, or something other than their actual username, the new site couldn't match it up.

But like Stomper said, unfortunately we can't access the database to be able to update those.

Ah I see, thanks for clearing that up. It's kind of odd it was like that but oh well I didn't even know that in the old site you didn't have to be logged in to leave feedback
