Title: Satyr/draenei/tiefling BJD?
Post by: okapishomapi on January 22, 2012, 02:24:53 PM

EEEE I found it!! http://mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/p=3614744.html#3614744 (http://mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/p=3614744.html#3614744) this is the original post - turns out the doll is a Yao from Resinsoul. I'm so excited - I'm definitely going to be buying her if I can earn my scholarship again this quarter (great motivation!).

Thanks for the help, guys! I'm off to research her and BJDs :DDDD

I was hoping someone here could help me...there was a post a couple months ago on here where one of us bought a draenei-esque BJD. I asked for a link to the store page because I instantly knew I wanted to get one eventually, but I was stupid and didn't favorite the site  :yikes:  . Now I can't even search the old Arena to find the post. Does anyone remember what the doll was, who had it, or where I could buy it??

Thanks so much for your help, guys :lovey:

I'm guessing it might have been one of the hooved dolls from http://www.resinsoul.com/ (http://www.resinsoul.com/) ? They do both male and female hooved dolls in 60cm and 45cm sizes.

possibly also one of the soom dolls, they make several dolls with hooves, but I looked up what you are trying to find and it looks a lot like Soom Amber (www.dollsoom.com)

or soom Cuprit

these are both sold out limiteds that you'll have to find on the second hand market, and unfortunately they difficult to find and when found, expensive (expect no less than 900-1200 for a doll with hooves not painted, and around 300-600 just for the head)

Oh my gosh, that is an amazing doll  :whoa: I know it's not either of those Soom dolls though, because when she linked it I was surprised at how inexpensive the doll was (less than 200, I think).

I guess it must be a ResinSoul doll, but none of them look right. Maybe it's one of their human dolls with lower legs and horns attached? I noticed you can buy the horns, but I can't find the lower legs anywhere..

Ugh, I'm sorry guys!! I know absolutely nothing about BJDs. I wish I could just search the Arena!!

it's possible that that someone put another head on the body.
Heads and bodies within the same size and company are almost always interchangeable.

It's also pretty true for any same size doll from any company (like I have a luts head on a fantasy doll body, and a migidoll head on a soom body - all SD sized though)

But in the case of resin soul and bobobie (not really sure what their deal is, they sell all the same dolls, resinsoul just has a double jointed body, and seems to be a slightly better quality), their dolls tend to run smallish, and rather thin, and their bodies don't often look good with other heads (extreme bobbleheaded-ness, etc)

However, they're the only company that I know of that is in the 200$ price range with a hooved.
If it was a child like one, then that would broaden the search a bit, but Im pretty sure what you saw was a resinsoul/bobobie :) and i know someone in the dollhouse has one and posted it awhile ago.
