Pokémon Go! Lapras and Articuno

I've wanted Ekans for a while since my BF has one!

I'm ahead of him now, but he's not played since October, however he still has Pokemon I don't (even though I've now got more registered to my Pokedex).

There are neither Snorlax or Dragonite in my area

Only one missing for me now is Omastar (24/50 candy) and some babies but I don't count those. After I get him I'm not really sure what to do anymore, haha.
I hope I'll hold on long enough to get the gold jogger medal too (walked 823km/1000km so far)

I'm hoping I'll finally get a Chansey during the Valentine's event.

I'm only a little mad that my husband hatched two Chansey within one month of playing and I haven't even seen one in the 7 months I've been playing.

I swear if my husband gets home tonight and tells me he caught one while he was at work...

I think the event officially starts tonight or tomorrow? Thankfully this weekend is supposed to be pretty nice so maybe I'll actually get out and walk.

The one I found was right in front of my office on the way in, and I believe technically before the posted time of the event starting? So not sure. It does start today though.

I didn't see a time on the official post, but lots of people are saying 11am PST so...half an hour ago it should've started.

I'm going to walk around the campus of the school I work at for a bit and hopefully get something good.

I was at a Seel nest today and then randomly saw a Lickitung at a Pokestop across the road. I hurried over to catch it, of course, and while I did so was swarmed by Exeggcute. I noticed a Wigglytuff and Jigglypuff on my sightings, but they were across the freeway. I went back to the park full of Seel (I'm trying to get a Dewgong) and, since spawns were slow, looked on the Internet and found out there was a Valentine's event and that it had just started  From then on the park was full of Exeggcute; it was ridiculous and pretty funny. The Seel spawns stayed the same, though, so I finally got enough for a Dewgong (yay!) and double candy, too. I'm excited about that and double candy for my buddy, Dratini. I've been walking her for quite a while now and am only at 47 candies. Yay for Valentine's events I'd call this one "the invasion of the Exeggcute," though.

I'm training up a team to work on some gyms so I'm ridiculously excited for double candy. I think I will be walking my Gyarados all event lol.

...Or not. Apparently my last power up maxed him lol.

I caught 3 lickitung today. And come across a lot of Jigglypuff and exeggcute.

I'm excited for this event; I didn't realize it, but I guess Lickitung is included! I chased a shadow of him all around my local Starbucks today during grocery shopping, and no dice. :/ Next time!!

Yes! I'm hoping to find a Chansey; I have one beloved Chansey that I only hatched a week or two ago but I love that Pokémon and more would be welcome, especially for the candy. My sister found a Porygon already and caught her first Lickitung; we also found a Clefairy together, which was fun.

Also, apparently eggs that you received after the event went live now have a different species distribution. They've moved a lot of 5k Pokémon down to the 2k eggs (like Nidoran, Ekans, and Venonat -- thank goodness, because I hatched those from 5ks all the time, including an Ekans today from an old egg!) Pinsir and Scyther are also no longer 10ks. The new distribution looks pretty good to me; there are now only 12 possible Pokémon you can get from a 10k egg, which I think would help if you're after something rare (like a Lapras, in my case). The Silph Road has a handy chart that details it all if you guys want to see it.

That is SO good to hear, Haruna!! I just hatched a Nidoran female from a 5k egg today, it was SO frustrating! I find them all the time around here, so it's like, really???

I guess Polygon is included in this event? I started up the game and was surrounded by three of them

I haven't been able to go pokemon go hunting these past few days due to being sick and unable to get out of the house really x.x
