Title: Show your current pony rooms!
Post by: PonyPunk83 on July 03, 2018, 07:15:05 PM
What does your current pony environment look like? I'd like to see pony rooms at this point

There are some people on the arena who have The Most Amazing pony rooms. I have a much more modest set up: a display cabinet built into our library. Sadly, although it looked enormous when we built it (prior to pony purchasing beginning) it is already full and ponies have spread out onto the shelves in front of the books. Help!

I'll definitely try to get some of mine up, once I get my shelves all dusted off. That, however, can take a very long time.

I posted a brag about my collection the other day but I’ll try and get a photo of the whole room.

I don’t have a room sadly, but I’ll try to get a picture of my current display soon. Still trying to figure out where to put everypony. Anybody know of good, larger on the inside shelves and cabinets?

What lovely displays.

Love the library ponies breaking out amongst the books, Nightglider :) .

Shabbychicdee, may I ask what the second cabinet is lined with? is it fabric or paper? I was toying with the idea of painting the inside of one of my wooden cabinets lighter to allow the ponies' colours to 'pop' a bit as it's in a darkish corner but seeing your setup has given me ideas!!

Those are some very nice displays. Love how the colors blend so well together. It makes it look super nice.
I don’t have a pony room or display yet. Most of my ponies are in storage boxes. Reason is because I’m in the middle of cleaning out the basement so I can move down there. My bedroom is currently in the loft of a condo and since it’s summer it’s extremely hot up there. I moved to this condo last year and it needs a lot of fixing up. However I do have some cool pony related ideas that I want to do for the bedroom in the basement. Just going to take a lot of time to do.

Unfortunately a leaky chimney required a full dismanteling of my pony room, but here's a few pics of what it looked like a few weeks ago. And hopefully within a few more weeks it'll be all back together, better than ever! Featuring- actual drywall ;)

My pony room is a disaster area - it's currently also my Etsy/online sales room, my overflow fabric room, my gift-wrapping room, and apparently the room where all my tools go.

so sorry for the late relys. been school holidays here in NZ , now getting back to normality.  :satisfied:

it is fabric in those ones. iv been wanting to try paper/wall paper to line pony cabinets for ages now but have never got around to it. that cabinet has a mirror back but i tried that small piece of floral shabby chic fabric and loved it.
and yes agree ponies colours do pop when they are on light and white shelves, i also prefer white as a back ground but i do love my shabby chic vibe as well ;)

You all have such Unique and beautiful displays! I especially like the hidden nature of some of your displays @shabbychicdee!
My display leaves a lot to be desired I am afraid, I suppose you could call it making the best out of a bad situation xD I live In a student house so none of the furniture is my own,  don't have enough room for my own shelves and even if I did it just is not practical

So yeah this is mine xD I have 8 ponies and a plush to add to this actually  I need to create a riser for my pony section in the bottom left corner as you cant see a lot of them!

Everyone's setups are so great! I'll be redoing my G3 organization when the my new G3 shelf arrives, I'm replacing the one I've got now. I'll be sure to post my displays after I get the new shelf (but even then I'll still have work to do as I'll need to get them on risers afterwards).

It's a little alpaca plush :) I got her from a friend a while back and I call her apple :) And the thing in the middle is my 90's Polly pocket clock

I just love seeing all these displays <3 I don't have a pony room (yet), andmore than half of my collection is packed away as of right now, so i don't really have any pics to share at the moment sadly.  ^^'  I'll just keep admiring all of your pictures :lovey:

I'm in the midst of moving stuff between two locations, so getting at all of my collection to photograph it is a bit difficult (most of my MIP is stacked away anyway). On this PC it's harder for me to get to my pictures as well, which I'd forgotten when I was in London :/ That's the PC with the picture storage stuff on it.

I am quite proud of my main pony cupboard at the moment. I have always had too many ponies for the cupboard space, and more recently I had the bright idea of making some of the shelves double up a bit at the back, creating extra shelves within shelves. Now I no longer have so much of a problem with ponies sitting on top of ponies.

I still need to get into the cabinet where the SS ponies and the wingers live to dust them.

I am going to go and try and get some pictures because I never post pictures and my cupboard is currently not a mess (!) but I don't know if it will work...or if I'll have to wait until I get back to London to post them.

Been a while since I've posted mine, so here are some quick pics I took yesterday.. excuse the mess, the room's still a WIP and it feels like every time I go to work on it, something else pops up  Sorry for the odd camera angles on some of them; it's hard to get a full photo of the whole room..

Loving everyone's pony setups!! And Carrehz, you have so many cute things mixed in with yours!!

I've shared it a few times and think people might be sick of seeing it alreadyl  ^^; But here is mine! Dolls and ponies together. I have lots of other figurines on the desk next to them, and my a few extra random ones live on my bookshelf with all my dragons.

I just really need to get risers for them!

not going to bother taking my ponies out of storage to painstakingly set them up, only to repack them. Nope. I learned my lesson from Equestria Daily's recent pony collection compilation. This is what I took for hat day, bu since then, my collection has grown about 30-something ponies.

aa thank you! :> I don't have space to give everything its own shelf so I just mix everything in together XD

Your collection is lovely, is that a rehaired Treesa on top? And what are the kitties (?) by Gooliope? They look so cute!!

Thank you!! It is indeed a rehaired Treesa! I loved her concept but hated the execution so I customized her a fair bit to how I thought she should've been. (My only good photo of her right now!)

And the kitties next to her are two different things! The red one is a vintage LPS from the "Dazzling Hair Pets" line and the green one is a Lil Pretty Kitty! Sorry they're super blurry and grainy in the photo, my mobile camera reaaally sucks and I rarely feel like trying on my actual camera because it's really old and pretty inconvenient to use. (like my mobile camera, lol)

Please excuse the mess and the quality of some of the pictures - I have a lot of stuff lurking around at the moment because of moving and getting things out of London in preparation...

Also ignore the Jem dolls. They kind of just share the space too.

Sea Ponies are by the sink but I couldn't get a good image :/ G2-3 are mostly in storage, as are all of my playsets :( I have no ponyroom really. Just a tardis-like cupboard.

I also have a drawer and a shelf full of boxes and backcards which I wish I had space to display.

I am so jealous of the people who have the room to display their ponies so nicely :/

Also, I don't have two Moonjumpers. THe one in the cabinet is my sister's.

Okay, so I've got my G3 shelf for a little bit now and I think I'm keeping it as it is right now (aside from that I will be adding risers for the two upper tiers), so here's my current pony display situation. I'll embed the most important images, but a lot of the closeups will be in the Imgur album I'll link, don't feel like embedding so many images!

Great collections everyone! I have all of my ponies in a tote right now. I also collect Breyer horses and get so over whelmed when I have both of them out at the same time. I do have a room for them but with three curios full of horses and many still in there boxes along with three bookcases full or ponies! Its just to much for me! I am a minimalist till it comes to my two hobbies!

Plus I like to have them organized!
