Maybe they would be the ones to request to make pony blocks!! :D

Because HABRO has its own knock-off LEGO line called KREO.  So they wouldn't license the MLP brand out .

Yes, every time this discussion comes up the same fact remains true as long as HB continue to dabble in this sector with their poor attempt at LEGO, they will not licence their lines out to anyone else who is essentially a competitor to their product whether this be LEGO or Mega Blocks.

Its a cute idea but alas I think people would be better hoping HB decide to do something similar with MLP and Kre-o as they did with Transformers.

Activision-Blizzard already has an agreement. Hence why they've made this.

Also, Mega Bloks is a "boys" toy, and ponies....aren't. So sayeth the market.

Skylanders also makes way more money than MLP. I bought Skylanders, but I have some friends in the Game Design program at my school who've bought literally EVERY Skylander. One of them bought a 3DS JUST for the Skylanders game for it.

Boys play with Skylanders, girls play dress up with their ponies. And boys build and destroy stuff, girls play pony-dress up. Or put Pinkie Pie in the train.

But this is mostly because Activision-Blizzard already has a deal set up.

Who says girls cannot play with blocks? Just because the package is a certain colour doesn't mean girls can't enjoy it. I can't help but to credit the li'l girl someone posted about that said that boys can enjoy ponies too. When we stereotype like this we teach the kids to do like the stereotypes, opening the rift between genders even more.

Anyhow, skylanders pack DO look good even if I strongly dislike the looks of Spyro. I did hear of lego ponies a while back on equestria daily. Here's a picture. It's featured in something called the CUUSOO-project.

Seconded. I expect that if they decide to make MLP building toys, it'd be smarter to put it out on their own building blocks brand and absorb 100% profits than to license the franchise out to Lego and only take comissions.

Something like that would be cool. Lego was my favourite toy when I was a child and I still enjoy building it. Lego and similar things are for everyone, also the sets that aren't of the pink type. Actually I favoured sets with skeletons and gadgets that made it possible to build castles with traps and stuff ^^.

I was huge into Legos and K'nect when I was younger, plus I was one of three girls in my senior year principles of engineering class. So I know that your gender has nothing to do with your ability to enjoy technical/mechanical things.

But there's still advertisers and higher-ups in companies who still think that way, and we don't have the power to change that directly, only vote with our wallets. We see Hasbro responding to the "male" audience and consumers of MLP, and Mega Bloks, Lego, etc can be handled the same way.

The CUUSOO thing is where people make example sets, the community votes if they would like them to be a product, and if the idea gets enough votes, Lego considers it. There was one thing on there, a set to make a model of Serenity, from Firefly. It got a huge amount of fan support, and Lego was seriously considering making it a reality. But they decided that it didn't fit the image Lego has, as Lego is supposed to be for young children, and Firefly is too mature for that.
