My fakie site The Fakie Hideout needs your help!

So, you may remember or know about the fakie id site I have been working on for a couple years, The Fakie Hideout I suck at web design, but I have been trying to make it the best I can with the free tools on weebly. Things have been going well. I am getting traffic on the site from Google -- which of course brings a few bad eggs, but it's cool to think I've sparked some interest.


It's getting better by leaps and bounds but I am still missing information and photos on a lot of important fakies and ponies. I know there are a lot of other fakie nuts out there, so it's worth a try! I'd love to have the most comprehensive id guide.

I am also excited about the newest page - a compilation of photos of mint in package fakies! I have been scouring the internet for photos and have used all of my own, but it would be awesome to have photos of vintage fakies and other kinds not shown still in the boxes or packaging. There are some pretty cool fakies on the page now, ones that I'd never seen before -- like the G3 mold fakies that come with jelly beans. Like, what the heck? Lol.


If you have emailed me with photos, and I slowing sifting through and adding them onto the site but my email seems to have gotten onto some kind of junk mail list, so it's insane. You can pm me or post photos on this thread if you're interested in sharing. I will give credit to you and link to your site if you wish and add it to my links page if it's pony/toy/collecting related.


I'd also like to plug the My Little Imposter Pony forum, cause it's kinda dead over there. (I do not own that forum.) Give em a boost!

The names I have seen for Lanard products are Fantasy Kingdom, Pony Tails, Pocket Pony Tails and some ponies were included with Fairykins. I do have one pic for the Fantasy Kingdom.

Thriftypony, just so you know, I started collecting MLP because I had gotten interested in mostly fakies. And I had gotten into fakies because of your site. You're the reason I now have 200+ ponies, Hasbro and non, so thank you.

I'd love to be a part of it. I'm loading my photobucket now, so I'll edit this and link some pics that you are more than welcome to use for your site.

Buddy L fakie that's kind of in bad shape. She has a few cancer spots and a strange highlighter mark on her leg. If you need a better pic, let me know.

And this girl? For the longest time I thought she was a SHS fakie, but going through your site I'm wondering if it's one of the Buddy L fakies you were talking about. I still think she's more SHS-like though.

The "Chest Hair Fakie" is a unicorn in a seated/laying down pose with a strange tuft of hair coming from the chest. I am pretty sure the mane is just pained on - they couldn't be troubled to give the poor thing a real head of hair, but they saw it necessary for chest hair. That's why you just gotta love fakies. Most of them make no sense at all.    Just like the sideburns fakies. Who let that get through to production? Lol. Glad they did though.

Thrifty, I think I have a couple of the animal friends, I have two sideburn one's a dark blue and white, and a bunch of other  MOC ones.
