What do you think happened to Megan after G1?

(this is a head canon so please don't be angry)
Well for some reason, humans disappeared after G1 ended.  So I was wondering what do you think happened to Megan after G1 ended? In my opinion, she left and for some reason, forgot about the ponies, and grew up. Seriously thinking about making a grown-up custom of her with Apple White from Ever After High.

I think no one believed her about talking, flying ponies, so she developed an eating disorder. She became too fat for the ponies to carry and she was also bitter about the position the ponies put her in, clinging to the rainbow locket, refusing to give it back, calling it "my precious".  Eventually, she was admitted to a psych ward.

I read a neat story where she eventually put it away as a childhood fantasy... until they show up at her room in university to go 'HEY. WE NEED HELP. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN.' it was also a stealth crossover with another 80s show. I think it's actually safe to link here on the forum:

Me, personally, I figure hung around because adventures shouldn't stop just because you got older. And the ponies did get bigger as dream beauties, after all.

Laws were passed, banning humans from Dream Valley. Megan went home and grew up and became a collector of toy ponies. She has a secret bunker with all of the toy ponies ever made MOC/MIB. Even Greek Ladybird is still in her egg, unopened. Many a secret organization has attempted to find and break into this bunker, but have failed. For now...

I too thought about her growing up and kind of forgetting about everything chalking them up to imaginary friends or such. Kind of a sad but happy memory.

I think of it like Narnia or the Neverending Story (book versions). You are drawn into the world of magic and wonder in order to learn simpler lessons about faith, honesty, courage, friendship, responsibility, all that good stuff that can pass you by or seem irrelevant in the muddled-up modern world. When you've been enriched enough you exit the fantasy world but carry it with you in your heart and your actions, and ideally make your corner of the world a better place or "a little piece of [fantasy land]" by remembering your lessons and passing them on to those around you. Megan was already pretty mature and kindly in the show, I like to believe Molly and Danny grew up similarly into fine, strong people with a keen love of and empathy for "real" horses and ponies. Perhaps each of them found jobs in the animal care/welfare industry and work towards ethical treatment for all creatures great and small?

This fanfic is so beautiful ;w; I nearly cried reading it.

(Personally, I imagine Megan, Molly and Danny continued visiting the ponies even after they grew up It makes me sad to think of them 'moving on'.)

Poor Megan, though I could imagine this happening, her in her room at the ward, finger painting rainbows on the walls and murmuring "shoobedooo, shooshoobeedoooo" over and over. Oh man
