Stern that is so nice of you. Yea Canada is really slow it can sometimes take more than a month especially if its a big box and its going that far. I don't know when it was shipped, but I have seriously waited sooooooo long for things from Canada.  I am even closer being in the USA.  It depends on the weight because, I have noticed small packets get here reasonable...boxed items maybe two to three weeks but heavy items....month or more.  Probably not that way for everyone.

Poor Scraleos.  If it's coming from Canada you may not get it until NEXT Christmas.    Canada post is the worst.  I've known people to wait for 4 months for parcels.  And your partner shipped late.

 

I think in future, Canada peeps in swaps should only be paired with other Canada peeps or US peeps.  Whenever something is late, it is always from Canada.

Woah, hold on there.  Did they ship airmail or surface?  Because Airmail should never take more than 2 weeks, pretty much anywhere.  I've had problems posting to NZ, and Australia, but only because the parcels went surface, and then got stuck in the customs of those countries.

I've shipped hundreds of packages from Canada.  I've never had a swap package arrive late, or airmail to europe take longer than 2 weeks.  International mail usually ships 3-4 weeks before the swap, which gives me plenty of time to get my stuff there.

Honestly, Sternen, I'm amazed at how awesome you are. I know it shouldn't be a surprise, you've always been awesome, but WOW! And Scraleos, you lucky dog! Box of candy!
I'm sure your box will be there any day now.
My sister's hip surgery went well- she's got a couple days of recouperating in the hospital, then home to try and navigate the hallways with a walker! Just thought you'd all like to hear some good news, to try and counter some of the bad.
I also got my sister an advent package, like this one, but hers is bigger because I didn't have to ship it. I'm pretty excited about how it's going so far- she opened a toy Hagrid from Harry Potter and I thought she was going to do a little hip-surgery dance! At least the packages are making her few days in the hospital a little less dull.
