Wow! Awesome lot. Baby Sapphire and Tornado! And Baby Applejack, so cute. And so many others. I love cleaning ponies, too; I recently bought a large lot of smoky ponies, and nothing seemed to take the smell out except Febreeze. I tried baking soda, but I may not have tried enough. I also cleaned them with vinegar and bleach solutions. But the Febreeze helped the most. Good luck!

Thank you, I did get some really nice ponies! Sad that Tornado is missing his tail, otherwise he's mint :( Did you find that Febreze actually took away the odour, or does it just mask it? I'm considering trying some out, but I want a long-term solution.

Oh boy, Baby Sapphire with her ring??? Major want! Great haul indeed.

I have found that putting smelly ponies into clean cat litter (wood based) takes away the stink. Maybe that would work for you also? Though I am not sure if there are wood based pellet cat litters in UK.

If you ever want to part with Sapphire or her ring, I am very interested ;)

Buying bundles of ponies is so much fun! Looks like you got a great selection. I used to have so much fun going through random lots and picking out ones to add to my collection. And then cleaning up the others and trading them.

I recommend using baking soda to take the smell away, I soak ponies in water and baking soda (I put in about half a cup of baking soda for about 4 litres of water) for about 3 days to take the smell away but you will need to pull the heads of which wont be so much fun with that many ponies, also if the ponies really stink I use white vingear in the mix as well : ).
I know you can put baking soda in a air tight container and the place the ponies inside another container (so they don't get baking soda all over them) and that will also remove the smell but I think that method can take some  weeks

Nice haul thou, I love sapphire she is a big favorite of mine :  )

Nice Find!  I love cleaning ponies too. So relaxing and rewarding when they're putrid and come up mint! Love Baby Sapphire BTW!

Just stalking this thread for :after: photos... I admire your patience for leaving them till Christmas. Once I start with a restoration I'm obsessive until it's complete.

Sounds weird but some new generation showergels and 'intimate washes' () have a kind of nano technology that works like febreeze to 'control odour' so you might like to try that because you're washing it off rather than spraying a product onto the pony.
