Title: Derplestia
Post by: Axalth on March 10, 2012, 02:49:36 AM
The Royal Friends and pony school pals have finally showed up in town, but only 2 sets of each. Me and a friend grabbed a royal friends each, and, well, mine is derped.
The Twilight Sparkle has an odd discolouration around her display side eye and a spot of glue on the other side.
But it's Celestia that has me confused.
Her display side eye has glitter on it, the other eye is just normal. The odd thing about the glitter is that it is in the perfect shape for her eye, as if it is actually meant to be there, except that it isnt.
(sorry for the webcam photos haha)

She also has glue in her tail :/

So any ideas why this happened? Just a completely random factory error?

That's so strange an unique! I you were unhappy with her and you want her fixed up like the normal version, someone on the customs forums might could fix her for you? It's a cool mistake though. For the glue, you might could get that off pretty easy.

Whatever you do, I would not contact Hasbro for a refund. They don't have a good track record of customer service, and you've already been through enough just to find them, it sound like. But that is a cool mistake....Hey, she has split personalities? :P

:) I think that it could of been something that Hasbro said to test out, and didn't like it, and scratched the idea. It wasn't supposed to make it to the stores. :D I think it's sweet. I bet you would find someone more than happy to make a trade.

And Hasbro has really good customer service. They are willing to exchange free ponies for small flaws, and in the case of a pony not in stock -- they let you keep damaged pony, and give you a random replacement. I have had to deal with such, and surprised how quickly they responded, and were quick to hand me a free pony. (And I didn't really want it... )

Pretty neat if you ask me. I would still be bothered that only one eye is glittered though.

If you are bothered by it you could always return her to the store or send Hasbro an email telling them what's wrong and they probably will send a replace. (But beware if you do the latter, they usually end up sending you a different pony.) I emailed then about an issue with my Lulu Luck before and they let me keep her and said they would send me a Lulu Luck, but it ended up be Flitterheart. I was still pretty happy though since I was planning on buying her anyways.

She looks more beautiful with the glitter in her eyes! I wish they all came like that now.

Hmm sounds about right haha
Also not sure if contacting Hasbro would work, seeing as in in Australia .
Oh well, it doesnt really bother me all too much, its just odd XD
