Only thing I'd say... is his ear might be a bit too... "level"? I think it might need to point upward just a TAD more...

It looks almost too low. I'm not sure their ears can go back like that, and almost level... unless his head was pointed upwards more...

*hug* I hope you don't think I'm critizing or anything...    I LOVE him! I'm just so used to going into "editor" mode whenever I see WIPs...
 
Looking at him again... it really doesn't need MUCH movement... just a touch of an angle upwards...    So it's not quite so parallel to the ground...
 
He is going to look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC with Carousel tack on!!! He'll be so unique! you can BET I'll be taking him to Breyerfest live with me!

I aim to please even if I am slower then molasses in winter. LOL  Thank you for the links though I have added them to my growing online long ear library.  Someday I hope to find all my old shots too.  I had some good ones.  I do like it better now too.

One thing I am having an issue with is finding an illustrated copy of Brighty to get ideas from.  Any chance you have a spare you can loan me for a bit?

As to the pole... hum... I THINK I'd like one. That would really hammer home the fact he's supposed to be a "carounsel" animal. And I think if he really was... he'd have a pole right?

But if you think, that it interferes with his design... or if it becomes a problem... I trust your artistic judgement.

If you do add one... I think it might be cool to add a leather "strap" for the "kids" to use to stay on him...   But this is something I, (or maybe my leatherworking buddy out here in AZ) can tackle when he's done!

Also... I dunno if you had planned to put him on a wooden base or not... but I think he'll need one. Like the Danbury Mint collectibles... to give him some prominance! But I'm also thinking, thatI can buy a wooden base at Michaels... stain it... and sit him on it when he's all done... so you don't need to worry about it, unless you want to!

As to the pole, all my critters get drilled for it before I do the trappings hence my asking now.  I think he would look super with one and with a base.  I need to make myself a nice name medallion to go on them but lord only knows if I ever will.  I will supply the base, makes it easier since I am supplying the pole and will need to make sure holes line up and all.  Now to get more free time to play on him.
