Wow, that cabinet looks great. It's not easy to find a nice cabinet like this for an affordable price. Congrats :) Hope you'll be able to use it soon!

Pony Corral / Re: How do YOU keep track of your collection?

Currently I'm listing my ponies in a Word document: I just add a picture of the pony with his/her name underneath it. Planning on switching to excel soon, seems easier to keep track off.

Pony Brag Arena / It was a very good weekend
« on: September 14, 2015, 04:30:05 AM »
On saturday I felt like hunting some ponies, so I decided to go to my local thrift store first thing in the morning since I usually always find a pony or two there. It seems I arrived at a very good time, because instead of the usual small amount of ponies I could find in the box of old toys, there seemed to be ponies scattered all over the store. I got a few strange looks from other customers as I almost ran through the store, snatching pony items left and right as I passed through the isles, but it was all worth it. I got 18 ponies in total, a giant talking Pinkie Pie, a twist and style petal parlor and plenty of accessories that match with some of the ponies I bought.  Had to take 6 fakies as well because they were included in some pony bags.

I ended up paying 45$ for everything. Unfortunately my thrift store seems to have realised the ponies are still worth something and have driven up the price a bit (might be because they know I'll often come by to buy them ) since last time. But I suppose it's still reasonable since many ponies still have their accessories and they were all in good condition (aside from one Zipzee whose head is almost torn off).

While I was marveling over my new ponies that evening, my dad came by and told me there would be a big flea market the next day and offered to drive me there so I could continue my pony hunting. I went and began to think I went for nothing because I could only find fakies. But after an hour, I found a street where almost every person was selling a few ponies.  Ended up with 16 ponies (one mcDonalds pony is still in a box in this picture), 2 baby ponies, a twilight sparkle bag, a dvd of the first mlp movie and a small box filled with Majesty's accessories.

Got all of this for about $20 (note to self: go to more flea markets, your wallet will thank you).

The only thing that was slightly annoying was that I didn't get Baby Pinkie's original bottle. The lady selling her told me she had her original baby bottle, but after a quick glance she told me she couldn't find it immediately and handed me a random baby bottle, telling me that it would work with that one too. I would've liked to have the original one but it looked like the lady couldn't be bothered so I left it at that. :( I might find it at some other flea market I suppose.

I'm really happy I found so many ponies in one weekend ^^ I'm running out of space though, so It'll be a challenge to display all these lovelies

I ordered mine from Nippon-Yasan. At the very least, they ship via methods other than EMS so I won't have to pay £13.50 in handling fees to free her from customs and she's only 3800yen, so just a bit more expensive base price than ordering from GSC direct.SAL has the chance to escape customs, especially in December because customs are usually too busy to charge cheaper parcels ^^
Wait, she's available on other sites? Damnit, I was told Snow Mikudayo was exclusive to the GSC store (her being a Snow Miku variant) so I didn't browse other sites to look for her. If she's not that kind of exclusive, GSC might not bring her along to conventions >_<   Seems she's unavailable on Yasan now, guess I'll browse some more for her or just wait when she comes out and snatch her then.

If I had known that, I could've added her to my existing december order  :(

Completely off topic, but can I make a contract with you? :P
If you're a teenage girl who'd like to die for the sake of the universe, then sure /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\

High five for another Mikudayo lover! 8D Did you order the Snow version as well? I love her so much xD
Mikudayo is the best! She's so adorable and eerie at the same time, I love it ^^ I even got her scale figure :D

I didn't get Snow Mikudayo...yet. I'm a bit reluctant to pre-order her since she's exclusive. Goodsmile doesn't lower value on packages so that would mean paying double the price for her through custom fees since she exceeds the limit by two euros...

That, and her being a december exclusive means I can probably just buy her from GSC in march. They always have a booth at a con that's only a 10 minute drive from my home, so I'd much rather buy her there at the regular price. No guarantee they'll bring her along, but I took the gamble with my two Snow Miku's too and GSC didn't dissapoint me  :P

Found Snuzzle, Lemondrop, Sprinkles and 2 Cotton Candies on a local flea market last weekend for a dollar each. Lemondrop and one of the Cotton Candies are rather baity, but the others are in good condition :)
Not too shabby for my first hunt in many years

Didn't expect to see a nendo thread here, awesome ^^ I'm currently waiting for Sakura Mikudayo to arrive in the mail, she should arrive any day now :) I also have an Elsa nendoroid waiting for me (group order, so I have to wait till' the next convention to meet up with the person handling the order  >_<).

As for my collection: I currently have more scale figures than nendoroids, but these are the nendo's I own so far :) :
Spoiler
  • Sakura Miku (first version)
  • Cheerful Len Kagamine
  • Devil Homura
  • Snow Miku 2014
  • Snow Miku 2015
  • Stardust Witch Meruru
  • HMO Hatsune Miku

Introductions / Re: hiya there :)

Do you have any particular ponies you've set your sights on trying to find now that you are bitten by the pony bug again? :frolic:

I was a big fan of Kimono when I was a child but I could never seem to find her anywhere in my country, so it'd be great to at least add one Kimono to my collection  Star Catcher is also a G3 I'd really like to own :)

Introductions / hiya there :)

Hi everyone,
I'm a Belgian student who recently got back into her pony craze.

I started collecting G2 and G3 ponies when I was about 10 years old (most of my spending money went to ponies) but quit when I was 14 because school and other occupations made me lose interest. While digging through my attic last month I stumbled upon my old pony collection. I fell in love with them all over again and have decided to continue my collection.  :)

I collect mostly G1, G2 and G3 ponies. My favourite gen would be G2. I like G4 as well (big fan of the show) but I'm not too crazy about the regular pony toys (they're so tiny ). It didn't stop me from getting a few ponies of my favourite G4 characters though.

I currently have well over 60 ponies from all different gens, together with few houses, dolls, baby ponies and plushies. I guess I'm off to a good start already, but there's always room for more ^^

So yeah, I hope to get in touch with some fellow collectors on this forum :)
