I despise snipers, ever so frustrating. I'll often simply search through the 'ending soonest' pages and pick up items which don't have any bids, or watch items cautiously and bid if I'm reeeeally interested.

I usually bid within the last hour but I don't usually snipe - and more often than not, I get sniped

I will snipe especially if its something i really want, because it's the only way to win what you want.

It's really a case of putting MORE than your maximum bid in because then if you lose it doesn't seem so bad as you would have spent more than you wanted. I don't understand people who bid in 50p increments..... I just put my absolute maximum in and hope for the best.

At the end of the day whether sniping or no sniping, the winner will be the one who is willing to pay the most.

I snipe within seconds of an auction end, wether it already has bids or not. Always done it that way but I've never used a program. Most of the time if I miss an auction it's because it simply went higher than I wanted to pay OR my internet decides to quit working in those last few seconds  >_<

In the past I have put in early bids on items I was kind of meh about but ended up winning, which is great! I hardly ever BIN because I think the prices are usually too high.

I'm a sniper. I didn't start out that way, but it's the best way to get the items I want for a reasonable price. I don't use a program, though. I've stayed up until until 4am to bid on the items I wanted!

Also, this guy.

Since I know how sought after ponies are in general and I don't want to go over the risk of spending too much, I am a proud sniper who waits until the very last seconds. I won some pretty nice Ebay battles so far ! Of course, I always have a limit to how much I want to spend, so if I see that the pony is over my limit, I simply don't even bother anymore.

I really don't know why people bid really early on things that WILL definitely go up a lot. You end up spending a lot more that way so why not wait? But that's my view on things xD

I set an auction sniper, it keeps me from over-bidding, allows me to snipe in the last 5 seconds, and usually I edit my intended bid several times over the course of the few days XD
