Here's one of mine, she has some orange in her tail and I have no idea what the deal is with that but I kinda think it's cool

Well, not sure but I don't think so. only a part of it is orange but it kinda flows nicely into yellow at the end. looks to me kinda like someone's attempt at colouring maybe? I took her with an idea to give her another tail, but I just thought she was really cute this way :3

Can the yellow dye fade to look orange?  Maybe that's it.

OH no!! I saw this last night and was 'nah, don't really need that variant' ...... but now after looking at my friend and I's Surprise/Majesty war pictures... it looks like Majesty's hair color and I needs one as well too X D
....maybe have to get a custom made one...

It's not tailrust (my first guess as well ), it is truly, brightly orange and she's clean generally ^^ as for fading, I´ve only seen this colour fade into light yellow, so no idea
It's really funky because some strands are bright orange just in patches and most others kinda fade from yellow to orange to yellow again. it'S just weird because the orange part is kinda inside the tail. I wish I knew her secret!

The colour could just be a discolouration from something or someone's attempt to colour it differently - either way she looks special Vintergatan!

She's not perfect but I got her in a Halloween swap a few years ago and I just fell in love. I just bought her bought an upgrade Baby Surprise who I should be getting in the mail any day now. Gotta love those white ponies!

haha!! yes that blue on white is gorgeous!! she is pretty HTF as far as argies go :/
what you could do is find an argie surprise with a bad haircut (yellow is easiest to find) and rehair her!!
i did that with an argie moondancer... found the pink one with a mowhawk and had her rehaired in rainbow (then i got the real one) then blue (then i got the real one) then green and shes on her way to me now! ^_^

I have a couple Surprises with tails like that. One is the MO pearlized version. I think something is happening to the dye. Maybe it's breaking down? I see no signs of tail rust or anything like that. It seems to happen in patches.
