Ponies you used to dislike but now love

Princess Ponies! Back when I started collecting I sold on quite a few Princesses who came in lots as I just wasnt a fan...now? I adore them and with all their little hats and wands and companions I cant get enough!

i totally have to mention the g2 too.
but since the first baby found her way to my collection, i began to love them!!!  <3

Not so much dislike but I am terrified to buy a So Soft Pony. I'm worried I would get one and it would be all nasty. It's sad because Paradise is one of my childhood favorites but I can't bring myself to buy one out of fear that she will be all messed up.

So not a dislike but I guess just a fear of So Soft ponies. I know they are older and I can't expect them to be in perfect condition but for some reason you add the softness into the equation and I just can't seem to pull the trigger.

I will have to say the G2s as well. When I saw them for the first time, I was like, "Why, Hasbro, why?" But now, I think they're not so bad, and some, like Clever Clover, even have stolen my heart.

Perfume Puffs.  I thought they were dumb.  And then I saw one in person and liked her.  Then I got a Red Roses... and now I love them!

Another one here for G2s. I remember them being in shops and just thinking "Ugh....skinny little things!" I also didn't like G3.5s and when we first saw the G4s a couple years back...I didn't like them either. But they all grew on me!

G1 Sunlight. I never thought there'd be a space for her in my collection. Mom even brought me one from a flea market and I nearly threw it out. Now I adore her, and I'm looking for an upgrade.


This pony ticks all my boxes.  Powder blue body, rainbow hair, weather related symbol, one of the best poses around. Just took me a good long while to realize.

As a child I disliked both my Bow Tie and my Lickety-Split. They both had curly hair which soon turned to frizz that my other ponies were not afflicted with. I do like them both now!

I also used to dislike G2s, although I have recently warmed to them.

I was never really a fan of g3 Island Rainbow, but i love her now!

As a character, Pinkie Pie used to annoy me a lot. But she grew on me. G3 in general grew on me too, especially Minty.

EEK - I forgot G3.5's!!! Anyone who knows me knows I love these little big-headed buggers... but like most of us, I hated them at first! Now I'm addicted

Another vote for G2's! Also, the BBE's. I was against them until I actually had one in hand. Baby Ribon was the surprise favorite. Now I find them to be so adorable.

This is the 3rd time I've added my 2 cents, but I am in agreeance with zennabug.  I always thought they were so gross(the Perfume Puffs).  Why would anyone want a pony that is meant to have really badly frizzed hair?  Now, I kind of want them...this is not good...

That's exactly how I felt about them  But... put on rubber gloves to protect against any nasties and give them a really good bath with gentle soap/shampoo/conditioner and I bet the soft clean fuzziness will charm you

And finally, all the G4 toys. The bald look (on most) and the mousy face just looked awful to me, but unfortunately for my wallet, they did grow on me.

My mom's wallet pays for me liking MLP in general!
