Remco Pretty Pets?

So there was a post a while back about someone selling MOC Pretty Pets. It reminded me of my childhood Remcos!

Does anyone have a guide to them or know how many were made? I remember buying them in store because they were so cute!


I know there has been mention of some different animals. I have only seen the Ponies, Unicorns, Donkey, and 2 Sea Horses (White and Pink) But I know somone posted about a Zebra (Hathorcat I believe) And a deer?! I'd love to see pictures! Also does anyone know how many babies were made?



If someone has a list/guide to how many were made I'd love to see it! I think I am going to try to collect them all! If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it! I know Some came with rainbow hair and others with single colored hair?

Here is what I remember having as a kid:
Pink Earth Pony Rainbow Hair
Purple Unicorn Rainbow Hair
Purple Donkey Rainbow Hair
Yellow Earth Pony Rainbow Hair
Yellow Earth Pony Rainbow Hair

Pink Unicorn White Hair
Pink Unicorn Rainbow Hair

They came out as "Pretty Pets" and then "Rainbow Pretty Pets"...this is the 80s line I mean.

In the Pretty pets line there was a cat [pink with white hair], a squirrel/chipmunk [pink with white hair], a dog [pink with white hair or pink with purple hair - I love this little guy he is super cute!] and a horse [purple with white hair I think] - I dont know their names only that the horse was Happy the Unicorn.

In the Rainbow line...
There is "Sweetie" Zebra, "Dear" Doe, "Happy" Unicorn, "Clyde" Horse and "Babe" Burro [I think thats the donkeys name - could be remembering that one wrong]. I cant remember the colours although I think Clyde came in both yellow and white and that the unicorn came in many colours purple, green, white, pink and blue .

There were 3 Sea Ponies - Silky, Sunny & Splashy [imaginative eh?!] - I "think" they were pink, white and blue. This set also had a Penguin who was called Penny.

As for the babies - I am a little vague - there were Rainbow Babies which was a couple of Babies sold on one card, then their was a mummy and rainbow baby on the same card and I think there was a unicorn baby which could glow in the dark [this one I have never actually seen a picture of though so it could be "Remco Urban Legend lol"]

I love the original Remco ponies, I had one when I was a kid. Always remember the little rainbow hair bobble that cam with it
