I grew up with the tail end of G2 and mostly G3, and didn't get my first G1s until I was almost in high school. I remember being so tickled that G3s had magnets in their feet, and I have a whole stack of photos somewhere (from a disposable camera, naturally) of Petal Blossom stuck to random metal in weird positions. :lol: Like hanging from the fridge, and somehow the door frame to my room, etc. Good times. I know Applejack and Denim Blue were my "boy" ponies. Pretty sure Applejack and Spring Fever were a thing because they came in the same set. In general there weren't many action-packed adventures or dangerous missions, mostly soap opera-y kinds of story-lines. I was a simple child, haha.

Once I got G1s, my herd really started to take shape. Wigwam was the king/leader because he was my first REAL male pony. His wife/queen was Sparkler. At some point I got Ice Crystal and Gypsy and they were an item (both from the UK, you know). Tex was the huge town flirt, and also constantly challenged Wigwam for the role of leader. To no avail. Twilight was also a queen at some point? She was one of the first female G1s I ever received.

I saw that too! I actually messaged him to let him know that he might want to include her name in his listing (and explained that she's super rare and sought after). Either way, she's going to sell for a ridiculous amount I'm sure.

So, the story behind this brag is that about two years ago, I finally obtained my pony grail: Ice Crystal. He was flawless. He was beautiful. He was expensive! And then, shortly after, I realized I needed funds more than I needed gorgeous ponies, and I sold him. :( Recently I started collecting again and I knew my first purchase had to be a new IC to replace my lost and sorely missed boy. Around the same time I won him in an auction, I saw that Lykke here on the Arena had Fireball up for sale! An INSANELY perfect Fireball, at that. And as it turns out, she had also sold her Ice Crystal a while back and Fireball was missing his bro dearly.

I decided I simply had to reunite them.

Icey arrived about a week before Fireball (who was enjoying being a world traveler on his way from overseas), but at long last they're back together and so handsome I may just die.

Ahahaha thanks for making me feel better, guys! I guess I'm just not used to spending that much money on myself, at least not so quickly. It's a bit dizzying. But I feel good about my collection now. I still have some wants but they'll have to wait til after I take care of real life things... like rent.  :P
