Hmmm...correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all the other playful pony releases have two eye highlights? One big one, and one teeny pinprick underneath?
This is a better way of releasing singles in my opinion for such a great price! Now they just need to release new characters, and I'm down, stick a couple boys in those plastic bags I'll buy every single one.
Oh they're kind of adorable without the gradient and 2nd eye shine! I love how plain and simple they are.

I got the last lily blossom and Cheerilee at the shopko I went to. They had plenty of the others left. They were actually by the Easter isle in a set of bins. There were $1, $2 and $3 bins in the isle and the ponies were in one $3 bin. So they were not in the toy section or even close to it. And it took me a while to find them because somebody had put a frisbee on top of them so I didn't see them immediately.

I visited 3 Shopkos and I was wrong, there is a forth scenario I wasn't counted on ... They had Rainbow Dash, AppleJack, Fluttershy and Rarity. Very slim pickings at that, mostly Raindow Dash who only has red, orange and yellow mane and a purple tail... plus one Cheerilee which I did get but really don't have a need for. I have one more Shopko I didn't visit, but I can't get to till next Friday. I might be able to recheck the stores Tuesday morning (they get shipments monday) if I'm lucky, but most likely wont be till next Friday as well:blink: Only those colors on Dash? I had to search the bins at my stores as well, they didn't have their own bin at any of them, just jumbled in with everything else. Probably lazy stockers and store 'fronters'

I know someone said they heard of someone finding one in target? If they do pop up in target, I bet they will be in the front with the promo stuff thats $1 +... They just started getting in MLP coloring books up there, so wouldn't surprise me if they stuck these "cheaper" versions of the ponies up there as well.

Well, going to Kmart is a once and a lifetime thing for me since its about 2 hours from where I live DxI'm with you on this... the only K-mart in our area is across the river and it's a sorry store in this area... at least the last time I went... the toy aisle was an absolute mess and I just don't have time to go across over there... maybe if I'm going to the goodwill that is that way but that is also rare

Depends on the method of rehair.. I use a tool and never had a problem with rehairing, but I do have some gluing problems that I'm still working on... Also I doubt it's that easy to take ring out of the neck let alone put it back in and still keep the hair turnable (I'm not one who likes to actually glue the heads down unless I really have to)Aww, dang, I didn't even stop to think about the new head molds! Probably easier to glue the hair in with more room to move around? I checked my local Target today - I found some cute nail stuff in the Easter section (teeny tiny pony emery board, OMG!), but no ponies yet! I haven't given up hope though!!
Several of the Utah Kmarts show them in stock now. I will hit one on the way home and pm the rest on my list if they still want.Got some from Kmart. They were $3.49 each at Kmart, in the Easter stuff. (Vs. $3 each at ShopKo.)
Lyra differences: old version has comb and picture accessories, cutie mark on right, and gradient irises with 2 white highlights; new baggy version has no accessories, cuties mark on left, and solid irises with 1 white highlight.

I don't personally understand how changing the eye design works as a cost-cutting measure... I can accept that it does, but I don't understand why. :(

There are only three K-Marts in my state. One is near my house and it is tempting.

I found these today at my local Kmart. They were in the toys, dumped on the shelf with the other ponies. I picked up 2 Lily Blossoms since she seems to be the most sought after. Hmm, Cheerilee and Lily have one eye shine it seems, and the gradient is missing from their iris's, that doesn't seem like old stock, but more like cheaper made stock.

One thing that's really struck me about these is, I don't see any of the QC issues they've been having lately on these gals. No dirt, no major misprints. I appreciate it, but at the same time I really resent that they're not taking the extra effort on the more expensive items.If it makes you feel better, the Lily Blossom I got does have some dirt on her and her tail is a little off from what it should be XD Good thing this girl is going to be baited because that is what I bough her an Lyra for.. so I can fix the tail area

They didn't make Twilight in this set, probably because of her being an alicorn. Sigh. They could have used the new mold for the Rainbow Power line, which keeps her as an alicorn but doesn't make her bigger than the others. But they didn't use that, so no Twilight.
I hope the lack of focus on her in season 4 doesn't mean that by season 5 she'll be as scarcely seen as the other Princesses are right now. Hasbro totally should have made a toy of her for the bagged line. She was originally supposed to be the very top main character, for goodness sake.Honestly, I wouldn't mind all that much. I was at my local Wal Mart again today and there is still is a lot of ponies left.on the one closest to me ,all is gone , some of the small plushies are still there, but ponies are gone .

Walmart has had like a big cardboard bin of plushies out with Muffin pony, Trixie and Rainbow haired plushies.

I found a few of the mane six at Walmart around the first week of April and they were $2.97 ea. Using my Happy Meal coupon for $1 off any MLP figure I only paid $1.97 for my Fluttershy. :D Her hair is a lot more vivid pink than the other one I have and she's facing a different direction too so that made me happy to have a variant pose. :P

as soon as Easter was over all those bagged ponies were gone.. I think they took them back to the warehouse portion of Walmart because there is no way that the ponies all could have been bought that quickly in my area in the span of 2 ot 3 days.. All I saw was Rarity on the pegs the other day with the rest of the normal G4s =/ I was tempted to scan her to see what the price scanner said she was

Is that how normal RDs are that come boxed with a brush? I'm definitely disappointed that she doesn't have real rainbow hair cause it just seems bland to me. I really want to pick up some of the others, Lyra and Fluttershy for example, but if they're not accurate to how they should look Ill probably pass....Yes , RD has one color missing and their eyes are missing the small white circle on the regular releases, they are not exactly the same, that is why I had to buy them , otherwise it would have been the same as the ones I already have . :)

The bagged ponies are cheaper than other releases, and therefore less detailed. Normally Dash brushables have a red/orange/yellow/green striped mane, and a dark blue/indigo purple tail. I know bagged Lily Blossom also has simpler hair, it's only one shade of yellow instead of two-toned.
Fluttershy only has one colour in her hair so I think the bagged version is the same as the regular releases. I haven't heard about bagged Lyra's hair colours, my wedding single version has four stripes in her hair (green-white-green-white) and a green and white tail. Perhaps someone who owns the bagged one could check for you. :)
For some WEIRD reason I really like the reduced colors on the reduced-hair-color-Dash. It's not her "iconic" look, but it's a nice mix of colors. Purple Tail + "Fire" Hair! I'll post a pic sometime.
