Here's my custom for the Monochrome Swap. I got to experiment with resin for this one. Her symbol and jellyfish friend can light up!

Pony Corral / G2 and G3 History?
« on: March 06, 2020, 10:26:57 AM »
I feel like there is so much information on G1 and G4 about history of those lines development. I never seem to be able to find as much about G3 or G2. What do we know, or are there resources about history outside of My Little Wiki (which has been a very interesting resource!)?

Customs / Halloween Customs!
« on: November 01, 2019, 05:17:19 PM »
This first one is a ghost pony for the Halloween Swap for grante! I've been calling her "Looking Glass." She floats! Actually, she is suspended by a wire hidden in the long hair, as you can see from the last two pics. Granate requested long hair and likes ghosts, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity. Drilling a hole in a mirror was tricky. She had to travel all the way to Spain, so I'm glad she arrived safely!

And a video of her moving:

Plus one for my personal collection! Rarity is ready for the season! She was inspired by Sara Richard's Fiendship is Magic cover.

I've been somewhat quiet on the forum! Sorry for this bad behavior as a mod; I'm hoping to use my Spring energy to get back into the swing of things.

I wasn't hibernating entirely and made a few customs over the winter. I thought I would share them all here:

OC Ragamuffin (Winner of the Halloween coloring contest. I was honored for my custom services to be chosen as her prize!)

Cozy Glow (A custom for my brother-in-law for Christmas)

Winter Deer (A private winter custom swap for Griffin. I never gave her a name! The swap lasted through the end of winter, so I thought I would give her some spring-is-coming themed accessories. I also had her for the Tea and Chocolate swap, so I wanted to make a little reference to this.)

Rockin Beats Forte (A private swap with Roogna. She wanted a Rockin Beat custom and mention she liked my Nightmare Rarity's hair. Rockin Beats and Mohair ponies are so fun to make, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go all out! The brush and barette actually come from a Fashion Style G4--Twilight, I think--but it matches too well and it has just been sitting in a drawer for forever.)

Customs / Seapony Kelpie for Griffin in the Halloween Offical Swap
« on: October 28, 2018, 04:46:52 PM »
I always love the Halloween Swap. Griffin has some fun tastes, and I had a lot of fun making this creature for her.

Here is the story I wrote (from information online and in podcasts) and printed on the diorama:

Kelpies are mysterious and crafty creatures. Being intelligent in nature, they are able to assume many forms to draw in their prey. While known to take on the appearance of a beautiful man or woman, the kelpie prefers to take on the form of a black horse. Many a fool has happened upon a kelpie wandering the edge of the marsh and thought himself lucky to find a free horse to work his fields or carry him on his journey. Instead, the kelpie ensures their work and journey comes to a bloody, watery end. Children too have met an unfortunate fate after meeting a disguised kelpie. One such tale tells of a boy and his friend who find an all-too-beautiful black stallion wandering the water’s edge. Entranced by its eyes and flowing mane, they were amazed to see the horse allowed them to approach, and the friend was delighted that the horse allowed him to mount. As the boy reached out to pet the horse his friend had mounted, they were horrified to find they were now cemented to its skin. Realizing their mistake too late, they were pulled under the cold, dark water. Thinking quickly, the boy was able to cut his finger from his hand and make an escape, only to be forever haunted by the memory of the kelpie and his friend who met a terrible end.

In honor of the story, he has a finger still clinging to him!

Interestingly enough, as I was taking pictures I found an "orb" where the cut off finger was!

I should probably make sure to clean my lens and craft room....

Customs / As Requested: G4 Seapony Sand Dollar
« on: September 06, 2018, 06:49:04 PM »
With summer ending, I wanted to share with you a summer custom creation: G4 Sand Dollar. She was very simple, but after seeing Pinkie Pie match shell color, shell shape, body color, and eye color to Sand Dollar, I had to! I eventually want to use this pose and shell for an Ariel custom as well (hoping to do some rewiring so that a Little Mermaid song would even play from the shell).

This is an "as requested" because a long time ago I set a poll for "what custom should I complete next?". Mimic had first place and I posted her back in January, but Sand Dollar was runner up. Windy would be next!
