Arts & Crafts Corral / Watercolour Tex!

I got some new watercolours for my birthday and figured I would paint something to test them out! I used this to test out a few skills - colour mixing (this new pallette is limited, with only 12 colours, which was intentional so I could rely less on having the colours there), gradients (which I tried on Tex's tail), and lining with paint (I usually have really bold, blank ink lines in my art). I'm really pleased with it! I have a ways to go, yet, but I'm quite happy with what I've produced here

Eventually I'd love to be able to recreate some of the backcard artwork I'm especially fond of. This particular drawing was inspired by the front of Tex's backcard.

(Gently) Seeking at the moment!
^ By this I mean I'm only really looking for the more common/cheaper ponies right now.

This is my wishlist! I ended up separated from 90% of my collection a few years ago now so am slowly building it up from the ground again. As a result there are a LOT of common ponies I don't have. I'll be slowly updating this list until it's comprehensive. If you have several G1's I'm interested in, and have some other ponies you've had issues shifting, ask me about them, because there's a chance I'd be interested and just haven't yet been able to add them to my list!! <3

I'm located in the UK and more than happy to pay international postage - just let me know roughly how much that would cost, I am on a pretty strict pony budget as a student!

I am primarily a G1 collector, though there are a few G2-4 ponies that I have a vague interest in picking up.

Condition

Condition - G1
My only two big nos are tail rust (or rust in general) and strong smells (i.e. mould, or cigarette smoke). So long as a pony is clean I can deal with age-spots, haircuts, frizz, paint rubs etc. I'd love to see photos before buying <3 I specify some ponies on the list being in any condition, and I do mean any condition - again, so long as they aren't moudly or have strong smells (and that's just because I have respiratory issues).

I will also take any and all of your baity boys!!

Condition - Any other Gen
I prefer my G2-4 ponies to be as mint as possible. Small paint rubs etc. are alright, but I'd rather avoid drastic haircuts wherever possible.

Pony Corral / Best/Favourite Pony Finds?

As the title said, I'm curious as to some of your best or favourite pony finds! Did you find something you were really hunting for in a charity shop? Or did someone by chance gift you a pony you didn't already have? I want to hear about it!

I think mine probably was the Thundercloud I got for £10 close to a decade ago now. There was also the Sweet Notes that a friend gifted me - they were clearing out their house and stumbled upon a bunch of G1s, and in return for me helping them ID and price them, they gifted me the only one I didn't have! She still had gorgeous crimped hair as well <3

Customs / Donor pony tails?

What do you do with the pony tails you take from custom bait? Is there a system of matching up sad, tailless ponies with new tails?

I have a very sad looking sunburst but I have no idea where to go about procuring a tail for him! I'd rather use original hair, if possible; does anyone know of a red pony I could use that has the same shade?

Pony Brag Arena / Pony mail!

This afternoon after I came back from school a package was waiting for me! I ordered some ponies off of eBay and they finally arrived! It was nice outside once I opened them, so I thought it would be cool to get a picture in my garden to post here instead of on my desk. It's pretty big, so I've stuck it under a spoiler. They were a bit grubby and I cleaned them up, so they're all nice now.

Introductions / Hello everyone!

Hi! I'm Baby Crumpet, or just Crumpet over on the pony trading post! I'm living in the UK, and I'm a fan of movies, drawing, reading, music and, of course, My little ponies.

I have been collecting ponies since about 2012, which isn't very long, and my collection is numbering at about 120 ponies of varying generations. My favourites are G1 and G2

I haven't been very big in the pony collecting circle recently, due to real life and other interests, but I hope to jump back in now.
