Have you hiked Half-Dome?

My lovely and I are going for our first time in mid July! (can you say HOT?!)
If anyone wanted to give any tips, advice, share their experiences of half dome, I'd love to hear from you!


My main questions are-
1. What time/where did you start/finish?
2.How much water did you bring/use?
3. What kind of snacks did you bring?
4. Did you use any energy supplements?
5. What equipment did you use?

Is Half Dome a place?

Yes it is a place. Oh awesome, have fun. I haven't, never been to Yosemite. Though I want to go.

Half-Dome is a "pass" for me. I'm afraid of heights. But it does look like an amazing hike.

Half-Dome is a mountain in Yosemite National park!
We  miraculously got permits for the poles, but i'm beyond scared to death lol

Ah, I've never been up Half Dome, but I used to live near the park! Between the asthma and the fear of heights, I always enjoyed it from flatter ground when I did go into Yosemite... But it's definitely a beautiful area and I'm sure you'll have a lovely time!

The stargazing up there is just intensely beautiful when there are no fires going, too-- there are just so many stars visible, it's dizzying!
