Introductions / Guess who's back, back again
« on: February 27, 2021, 05:55:34 AM »
Well, probably not for long unfortunately.

Some of you ancient oldies may remember Cosmos.  In the early 2000s I was a very active collector/trader/buyer but in 2004 I moved out of home and suddenly had neither the space or money anymore. :(   Anything that happened after the early G3 line I know very little about.

I'm poking my head back in because I recently went to a collector fair and found someone selling Megan and Sundance and Molly and Baby Sundance and some accessories for... let's just say I knew they were worth a lot more than the seller was charging.

I'm now selling these guys on eBay.  The funds will help towards setting up the new house my b/f and I have purchased.  Ugh homeownership.  Check out the auction details in the post on the appropriate forum. ;)

For Sale - For Auction / Megan & Sundance & Molly & Baby Sundance Bonanza!
« on: February 26, 2021, 10:37:21 PM »
Hi guys, most of you probably don't remember me because I kinda stopped collecting in 2004 and haven't sold MLP since 2013.
But I'm back briefly with some Sundance and friends goodness for sale on eBay.

Megan & Sundance - almost complete, very good condition. - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164727868275
Molly & Baby Sundance - almost complete, very good condition - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154348271556
Picnic In The Park Megan & Sundance ponywear - complete, very good condition. - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154348280111

I have listed these with no international postage because at the moment even the local postal service is under the pump, international is just a nightmare. If you are reallio-trulio desperate for these and live overseas message me and we might be able to make an arrangement (no guarantees sorry).

Hello hello, here I am back at the old Arena again.

I am going to dig out and probably sell a bunch of my G2 and G3 collection soon (I sold the majority of my G1s and merchandise a few years back).

Now I need to fund an overseas holiday, so yeah, off they go.

More info to come soon.  Most of these ponies will have all their accessories and most of their packaging too.

Anyone interested?  Are there any average prices?  Gosh it's been so long since I've been in pony circles I have NO idea.

Pony Corral / The case of the mysterious Lemon Drop triplets
« on: August 27, 2013, 05:19:04 AM »
I've actually done it, I have almost finished cataloging my collection in preparation to sell most of them on eBay.

This is the first mystery I've discovered.

I have 3 Lemon Drops (oddly, none of them are my childhood Lemon Drop, who I seem to have lost at some stage - I still have my old Show Stable - no, it's not going up for sale), and all 3 are slightly different.

I'm going to refer to them as 1. Big Drops, 2. Dark Drops and 3. Pale Drops.

Big Drops has silky hair, it almost reminds me of the Italian ponies I have. Her drops are large and have a bluish tinge and her eyes are light purple. Her hooves read - LF - "(c) 1982 Hasbro", RF - blank, LB - "Made in", RB - "CHINA".

Dark Drops has hair most like a bog-standard pony. Her drops are smaller (noticeably smaller on side too!) and purple. Her eyes are regular purple. Her hooves read - LF - "(c) 1982 Hasbro", RF - "Pat Pending", LB - "Made in", RB - "Hong Kong".

Pale Drops has unruly hair - sure, most of this is due to a lack of care/brushing, but the bottom (underneath) row is half as thick as the other two, like every second hole actually got hair - but there are no empty holes. Her hair also feels slightly more cottony. Her drops are small and light bluish-purple. Her eyes are the same purple as Dark Drops. Her hooves read - LF - "(c) 82 Hasbro Pat Pend", RF - "Hong Kong". Her back feet are blank.

Does anyone know why I have 3 different Lemon Drops? When were they released/what were they released with? As far as I know, she only came with the Show Stable.

Pony Corral / Re: 1990s UK MLP comics

I am starting to list these now.  I will ship internationally! :)

My eBay name is Gemfyre.

(I'll do a proper post to the auction boards when I've listed all my stuff for this month, I have a lot more than just comics.)

Wow!  I will be listing these on eBay soon (I will post here when I do so).  Do you think I'm better off listing them individually?

I have No. 4 - One Autumn Day - dated 1985

Then I have 2 sequences - 148 to 158 (one has the Valentines card still attached, one has the balloon still attached - it has gone sticky with age though, and one has the pony booklet still attached.  Alas, one says it came with a door hanger, which I do not have)

Then I have 169 - 174 - the Christmas issue still has the comb attached.

Pony Corral / 1990s UK MLP comics
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:09:09 AM »
Anyone have any idea what these might be worth?  I have a whole pile of them in reasonable condition.  They seem to feature a lot of the UK/Euro sets from the early 90s that weren't released in the US

That's it!

And it looks like I have 3 of the stamps too.  Awesome!

Pony Corral / Spinning Top/Carousel thingy - anyone know what this is?
« on: April 27, 2013, 05:48:50 AM »
Sorting stuff for my next round of auctions in early May, I came across this odd piece of G1 merchandise.  It sits flat, but spins a bit like a spinning top.

I have also uploaded a video of it in action herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuGoDut5XNk&feature=youtu.be.

Pony Corral / Re: Who's your favorite of the Twinkle Eyed ponies?
« on: April 27, 2013, 05:09:39 AM »
Twinkies are probably my favourite set.  I chose Masquerade (I love her colours, and when I was a kid my sister painted her on one of my jumpers with puff-paints), Quackers, and Mimic (the only twinkie I never managed to get hold of).  Tic-Tac-Toe is also up there - I think I like the rainbow hair.

Thanks for the link.

I would ask, but I have literally a couple of hundred ponies to sell.  It would take ages asking the price for each one.

13
Hrm... I could maybe pop by.  Load my boxes and boxes into my car and see if anyone wants to buy some. :)

Are there any websites that give values for G1 ponies?  I don't expect pinpoint accuracy, just a vague idea what I should ask for my ponies.

 Thanks!

Off Topic / Re: avengers assemble seen it ? spoilers !?
« on: May 01, 2012, 06:07:32 AM »
YES!!  And I want to see it again.  So. Much. Pretty.  How the heck did they manage a cast like that?  All of the Avengers are utter eye candy.

And then there's the case of Tom Hiddleston/Loki, who over the last few days I've become a tad obsessed with.  Oh deary me *heart flutters*.

Spoiler
As for how Loki escaped from the prison.  I seem to remember a moment where, I think, the door had been opened, but Thor rushed up to stop him escaping, but Loki teleported/projected and was outside the prison while Thor ran into it - thus getting himself trapped.  "Will there ever be a time when you don't fall for that?"
