Early G1 names were perfect, short and fitting, and pleasant to the ear too: Fizzy, Shady, Bowtie, Lofty, Posey etc.
Up Up and Away
Pillow Talk
Baby Princess Sparkle
Hula Hula
Tootie Tails
Toe Dancer
Sweet Suds
Baby Sleepy Pie

That's why I said early G1 names, like the first four years more or less

I just not like human names (even Billie and Susie in g1) or puns based over them, it's too generic for MLP. And treating names like human, with "surnames"? Eugh.
And trademarking is not excuse, giving "Rarity".
