Huh, it does sound like they were really only found as bulk prizes? I found some similar ones online too but they say they are about 5 inches? Is that the size yours is?

The eyes/muzzle look a little different but that might just be the slightly different paint. Otherwise it looks like a very similar type mold and the color fade is the same.

Aww, these guys are pretty.    I collected unicorns as a kid, but I never came across these.
Also, Frosting is the cutest name.

Thanks for that link, emery! I don't think those are the same though. Perhaps memory is serving poorly, but I don't think the standing pose has the one hoof lifted. I seem to remember it standing on all fours. 5 inches is a bit of a stretch though, I'd say they're more like 2.5-3.

As soon as I get home, I'll take some comparison pics with G1s.

mine are about 3 inches tall for the bucking one and about 2.5 for the standing one.  I want a big purple one now though!

These guys have been around forever! I remember my father winning them for me at the Los Angeles County Fair when I was a little bugger. I also remember getting them at Chuck E Cheese too. I had a TON of them at one time!

I got some from a party store a couple years ago. The mold is not great & seams are obnoxiously obvious so I have to scrape, sand, file and paint them before making them into jewelry.
