Cherry Treats smells like . . . Play-Doh?

Has anyone else ever found and successfully treated a Cherry Treats that smelled like Play-Doh? I have one who came in a lot, and she has that distracting smell. She's been lightly cleaned and I've tried Febreeze on her, which worked for ponies in the past who had smoke smells, but it didn't work on her. Anyone else have any tips?

Generally, sealing the pony in a bag/container with baking soda or cat litter can help remove odors.

Unfortunately that's just what her scent degrades into.  It seems to stick around better/longer than the others in her set.  If there's any way to de-stink her I want to know too!

Hmm. Well, I know some of the scented ponies can have their scent "refreshed" by using a hairdryer on a light setting on them; we found this out after someone found an article about refreshing candle bears that way. I don't know whether that will work in this case, though; it might just make it worse! X(  I don't know of any way to re-sweeten the scented plastic, though. Might be best to just put her in a bag of kitty litter, as advised.

I'm giggling because you nailed her scent perfectly!  She absolutely smells like Play-Doh!!!

I have one that is freshly decarded and she does smell like play dough, thank goodness I like the smell

Okay -- I guess all I can do is try to stick her in a bag of baking soda or kitty litter. Maybe if I leave her in a long time her scent will get at least a little better. My collection Cherry Treats also smells faintly of Play-Doh, but not as much as this one does! Or if worse comes to worse, I can sell her to someone who likes the Play-Doh smell.

Both of mine have that "play-doh eau de childhood" scent... I kinda like that smell.

In all seriousness.... could concealing her in a container with some cherry-scented freshner help her smell like cherries again?

Alas I have to just agree, her smell does just become play-doh esque. It will fade but it takes its time; you could do a spray in fabric softener as that sometimes works but initially I would go with the kitty litter or baking soda as well.
