How do display a bagged pony?
« on: October 10, 2017, 03:28:59 PM »
So.

I got a lucky find on eBay last night, the Chuck E. Cheese pony, mint in bag, for only $13! But I have no idea how to display her attractively. I'm hesitant to tear the bag open just because I'm not sure how to display her. Anyone have any clever solutions other than just standing her up in her bag?

Congrats on your great deal!

You could get some fancy clothes pins and hang her up somewhere.

They sell small plastic display cases.  You could get one of those and put it in there with a few accents to make a little scene.

Maybe get a fancy little stand for her?

You could get a small white box, put a fun address and some colorful stamps on it, and display her half out of the box like you just got her in the mail from Ponyland[or wherever].

You could wrap a small box with a lid in some fun wrapping paper and a really  nice bow, and have her peeking out from the "present".

I hope one of those work for you:)

I have my bagged ponies hung up on a picture rail or hung from tacks on the wall. Though I do love goddessofpeeps idea of clothes pegs to hang them up.

My mint in bag ponies are not on display, YET. Nothing as amazing as Chuckee, there, but a few G3's. My plan is a small shadow box for them, maybe one or all depending how big the box is. Then they can hang safely on the wall. I used to have pegboard in my pony room and they hung from that, but then we moved.
Good luck! What a great find! Let us know what you come up with!
Thanks so much to Calico_Star for her beautiful work on my Avatar!

You found a chuckee pony? I didn't even know they made something like that! I don't have any tips for display, as I'm probably never going to have a mint in bag pony. But congradulations!

Love this idea! That would be so cute.

Congratulations!

As for displaying, I have always just tried to stand them up as best as I can on the shelf in the bag. If she doesn't stand (because her feet aren't on the bottom or something is in the way) I lean her up against something. Keeping her MIP is not only awesome! ... but it keeps the dust at bay. It's easier to dust a bag than a pony lol
