Everyone's fav MLP from Gen 3 and Gen 1

I have put Gen 3 up the top cause I couldn't choose the option of Gen 3 and Gen 1. What is everyone's fav MLP from Gen 1 and Gen 3? Not Gen 4 please. Gen 2 had great toys but the only animations that that Gen came with was a game, so... that's why I collect Gen 2's but I'm talking about Gen 1's. Mine would be way too hard to say, but if I had to choose, it'd be...
From Gen 1 -My top 5 would be Trudy (the country white one with pink hair), Ribbon, Hearthrobe, Paradise, and lastly Crystal (I think that's her name, she is a pink unicorn with crystal eyes).
From Gen 3 - My top 6 would be Star Catcher, Pinky Pie, Desert Rose, Valentine (that only sometimes gets drawn but she's not a main character), and Wsteria and lastly Twinkle Twirl.

G1: twilight (both so-soft and regular.), sundance, galaxy, lofty.
G3: minty, starswirl (not the bearded) and star song. I always used to pretend star song was queen of the ponies, as she had wings and everyone else didn't. Also, stars on her flank and face ( I had the McDonalds happy meal one) If those traits don't spell royalty, I don't know what does!

I think the name of the pink G1 with the crystal eyes you're looking for is Galaxy She's a stunner! I love the twinkle eyes ^^

For me choosig my fav g3 is simple: Minty. Always has been, always will be. I also am relaly fond of Kiwi Tart and Sweetie Belle.
Fav g1s are harder to choose but clear favourites are: again Minty, Lemon Drop and Tuneful. After that I go throug periods of different obssessions with various ponies :Current one is Tropical Breeze ^^

Oh this question is a toughie since these are my two favorite gens!

For Gen 1, my favs consist of Sweet Tooth, Sweet Stuff, Coco Berry, and Lickety Split.
For Gen 3, my favs are Sunrise Song (my first pony ever), Brights Brightly (my second), Lily Lightly (my third), Piccolo (my fourth), and Cheerilee from Core 7

I flat out refuse to choose a G1 favourite. I just can't. I have too many that I love for different reasons.

Generation 3 - I like Kimono. I liked her from the start and I still like her. She's one of the few I still have both loose and MIB. I'm not huge on G3, but I think she probably is my favourite.

And I don't think animation is relevant honestly to picking favourites, not in any generation, as there are more ponies in ALL generations NOT in the animation than there are in (and in any case, I was a G1 comic kid xD). If you limit yourself to the animation, you miss a ton of ponies. (I don't even think I've seen most of the G3 animation, actually...) In any case, ponies are toys first. Animation later.

@OP - I think maybe you mean Truly...and the twinkle eye might be Galaxy? She's a pink unicorn with jewel eyes, and she is in the animation quite a lot. I can't think of another who is.
