I don't think that is a picture of a G1 glory. The neck is fakie-esque. The mane on this one is longer and fuller and the individual hairs on the tail look thicker. Also the eyes are less detailed than they would be on a G1 toy. I'd say this one is at least a prototype and probably not that far from what is to come. Looks way batter than the Firefly, but we'll see. :)

Looks like they used the re-released rainbow unicorn mould, because the body looks off and she's got squinty eyes.

The neck seam looks weird because the head is turned, so it doesn't line up. And yeah, it *does* look like the anniversary mold....what did they do, photoshop one of those to look like Glory?

I've seen what the mini firefly looks like and ugly was a kinder word in lieu of the one I used. I'd rather wait and see what Glory really looks like before buying and if she's as awful as the previous, well, its not like  the real Glory is rare or expensive.

I'm kind of excited by this because Glory is an old favourite of mine but if it turns out to be a repeat of that terrible Firefly, then I'll pass. Fingers crossed that this one turns out to be alright!

Yeah, that definitely doesn't look like the original. The hair and tail are disproportionate to the body in a weird way and the symbol seems small.

I just wish these were cheaper. I got the Firefly for less than $7 because I pre-ordered it before there even WAS a picture and there was no MSRP yet. I don't want to pay $10 for this one. :/

For $11 cdn on Amazon.ca I may be willing to give this a go. I haven't seen what was done to Firefly, though. May want to look at that before I decide one way or another. Glory is one of the very few ponies I remember owning, so getting this would be pretty neat. Plus, I have a baby Glory it can play with since I'm going to guess it's not as big as a g1 would be.

Will the pony actually look like that,  though?  I remember that everyone was disappointed that Firefly was uglier than the pre-release photo.

Well the pre-release photo for Firefly was just a G1 Firefly photoshopped in next to the booklet, IIRC. I don't think they did that this time (the actual/original Glory's head faces more to the front) but I could be wrong, of course.

This looks like a Glory with her head twisted to the right a little - i.e. the same as we had previously.

Its cute that we are getting these. As long as people realise the pony is not going to look like the one in the photo.

Glory usually doesn't have a blue streak that wide or a tail that wispy.  I don't think it's an actual G1 Glory, unlike the photoshop with G1 Firefly.

Nice. Hopefully she looks better than poor Firefly did.

I hope so too, I keep my firefly in the box, poor thing!

Her leg is pretty crappily/oddly Photoshopped. They do look different to me too though, like a new prototype. New eye and everything. I hope she turns out cute!

I'll wait.. I want to get it but I know what happened with Firefly.. This one looks partly photoshopped.. I'm looking at the legs in this case.. but that head is hard to say...

I'm going to add her to my wishlist just for sake of finding her later.. she is going to be released 12 days after my B-day so if she looks ok I'll call her a belated b-day present XD
