Technically, it's my sister who has Crumpet, but you know those rules about if you live in a country so long you can claim nationality? Crumpet lived in my room with my ponies for about ten years, so even though she's since gone home, I think she can count as an honorary member of my herd xD.
When we were first collecting in the mid-late 1990s, we took the list of ponies we didn't have and we divided them up between us. We didn't know rarity or anything, so with the So Softs we just took it in turns to pick the ones we liked. Elena picked Crumpet. We used to get a lot of doubles from the carboot sale and a lot of people then wanted the ponies sold over here in the UK. It wasn't hard to find the ponies we needed because of this, and so when we traded online, Elena got Crumpet. I believe she probably came to live here in May 1998, because I suspect she came with Helen (pinkember) when she came to visit us (she brought a huge case of trade ponies for us, almost 100 I think, and took it back with her just as full too!)
I've since collected up 14 of the 15 So Soft Ponies that were on her list. Crumpet is the only one I haven't, because I won't pay the asking price for a pony that essentially the collection has, even if I don't. If I ever find a cheap one, I might - but it will have to go some to be as pretty as Elena's.
Here she is.
