I am addicted to contests....I love hosting them. Bathing Beauty Photo Contest is similar to my other photo contests, but there will be no elimination, and this will be much shorter time frame. I also have the dates set up too. I am ok with small delays, but not super long ones.

Here are the rules:)
1. The contestant is a naturally born type pony. (This is reference to a rule in the Miss America Pageant. So it can be boy, girl, fake, horse/pony like (Breyer), as long as the contestant is horse related it qualifies.
2. Contestants must be Summer in nature. It could be their color combination, their name, maybe they have color changing hair, if you think it's summery the contestant qualifies.
3. This is about fun and being positive! So no negative comments.
4. There will be 4 rounds/ possible 5 if we have a lot. Votes will be in a poll in the arena, and collected to the end. The highest votes wins. There is a twist at the end, but we will wait till than.
5. Ask questions.
6. You may repeat ponies. It is ok to have 20 tropical breeze:) for example.
7. You picture will be posted in the forum.
Here are the rounds:
1. Round 1 starts June 3 and goers to June 12th (this is the longest time frame.
2. Votes are June 12 to 15
3. Round 2 June 12 June 18
4. Votes June 18 to 21
5. Round 3 June 19 to 25
6. Votes June 25 to June 30
7. Round 4 June 26 to July 6
8. Votes July 7 to July 13
I will notify at the beginning if we do a round 5. It depends on the numbers we have:)
The winner will get a custom knit project from me, or custom flutter pony wings. Here are pictures and links to my work:)

Also repeat ponies can happen. So it is ok to have 20 pina coladas....the pony, not the drink.

Ohh. I might be interested.. just since Florida summers are brutal and we only have our window unit to cool down our room, which is in direct sunlight in the hottest part of the day.. which would sway if I can get my head shot in on time.

Thanks! I totally agree (the eye gem and crown really sell her!) but I like the composition in #1. I'm going to try and shoot some more in a better location today and see if I can get a better background and better light on the gems.
Edit: I got a better shot! replaced the originals (for those confused by this, I had three pictures originally asking for help picking the best of a bad lot)

Ponyfan has discovered my secret pony crown source! haha.
This is quickly becoming the Bathing Crowned Beauty contest.
It's a ring from Walmart that looks like a crown. I paid $8 for mine, looks like I better go back and see if they still have the other styles, I think there were two or three different crowns. They had a "do not inventory" label on them that suggests they might not get anymore once they're gone.

Living in the desert, nothing says summer quite like blistering hot temperatures and blindingly sunny days! Although she is used to the heat, Seascape really prefers to avoid it if she can. To cool down she'll hit a pool lake, or anywhere nearby with water! She's not an excellent swimmer, but she is an excellent lounger and relaxer. For her, Summer is all about kicking back and enjoying life!

Okay, while I was looking for the original contestant I had picked in my head, I happened upon THIS girl, and I thought: THIS IS IT. THIS IS WHO I WANT. But after I took the picture, I started thinking about that 'born a pony' thing. Is she technically a pony?? She's a My Little Pony, but she's also a Pony Friend, and although they fall under the MLP umbrella, is she not pony-ish enough for the contest?
I already took the photo, so if she isn't ponyish enough for the pony club, lemme know and I'll take another picture real quick! Probably with the same backdrop, I like it a lot!! (Heck, I might retake this photo too, now that I see it on my computer the lighting looks kinda wonky!)

Woo hoo, thank you Crowning_Glory13! ;) I'm quite excited for her, I forgot just how NEON she is, and now I get to appreciate her all over again! :heart: I'm glad you guys like her! I realized a bit belatedly the photo prompt is a headshot, and hers is sort of a full-body shot! So, with some better lighting, I now have her new and improved headshot! (Twice! I changed my mind, I decided I wanted a three-quarter angle, LOL! I can crop it closer to her face if you want it to be more strictly head shot! She's hard to get a good head-only shot of, since she's approximately 90% neck. XD)

Cutesaurus comes roaring into the competition! This darling of the Jurassic era has been waiting a long time for the summer to arrive - ever since the last Ice Age! She's ready to relax and catch some rays, to say the least! Her hobbies include long walks on the beach, visits to the La Brea Tarpits, and avoiding large-scale extinction events!

I really love seeing the gens and a pony friend all mixed together in the same place. They really complement each other: the serenity of the G1s and the happiness of G3 and that little knowing smile on Cutesaurus together with such great portrait poses and decorations. Hope we get another gen uploaded to join us.

When you have the picture in front of you in Photobucket, on the right there are a bunch of different links. You want the bottom one called "img", click it and it should copy to clipboard, then you paste it into your post here. If it doesn't copy, then select it and copy it.
