huh. I hadn't seen the group picture of them until today. I am hoping they don't look exactly like that. They remind me of dollar tree ponies, like the cheaper fakies. The hair looks thin and that tail reminds me of a mouse tail. Again, this is just going by the images, maybe I will like them in person, but so far I don't think I will be buying these.

Also there's no need to call stuff I like ( chibi stuff) ugly. I actually wouldn't let any children touch anything I own though.
I guess I'm the minority. I don't like having a bunch of reproductions. I would rather have a new style of something to collect or new spins on the old designs.
For a bit there I jumped on the "I need an army of my favorite ponies" but now I have pulled away from it. I guess buying a house and having limited space I want more variety and different things to look at. I agree with you that new spins on old designs are cool, to have g1 AJ in both poses, g3 AJ, and g4 AJ all together is much cooler to me than having 35 of the same pose AJ.

I am an artist myself and It is so very rare to get commissions or sales so I try to support others when I can. Unfortunately I am not in a financial situation to do such recently but I try to when I can. <3

I know its been a while since I've been on but I came across these this weekend and picked them up. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginLooks like they are Electra and Haley according to the back of the box. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI have no idea what is a fair price for them, but since they are not something I collect I was hoping someone on here would want them. I have bought stuff off ebay before but I've not sold stuff so the idea of taking them to ebay is a little intimidating to me. If anyone is interested or knows someone who is interested please let me know, I'd love to send these to someone who appreciates them and use the cash to buy art supplies.

I was not a fan of the original thundercats, yeah it was a part of my childhood but other than being totally gay for cheetara it didn't really interest me.
I remember seeing artwork of the anime-ish looking reboot (like the new voltron style) and thought it looked pretty but thats where I stopped. I didn't peruse looking into it anymore than that. I don't have cable so I am limited on what I watch and Thundercats never peaked my interested to try to watch it.
This new version looks like they are trying to follow the teen titans model. You have the original over muscular ones, the totally spies/anime style one, and then the chibi simplified one. While I am not a fan of Teen titans go and I REALLY loved the one that came out that was anime looking, and REALLY do not care for teen titans go, but I can't really bash on it. It seems like its popular, seems like it makes them money, so I get why they are trying to follow the same model with thundercats.
Again, I can't say its my cup of tea, but it must be someones if its making them money and people are watching it.
I agree that I wish they would create more original stuff, I ADORE Steven universe which I understand has a similar art style, but its so good and I really love its originality. Its not a reboot of anything. I would like to see more shows like that rather than reboots, but hey, if it works I get it.
I will say, I like Cheetara with short hair and a unibrow though, just throwing that out there.
