I found a single pinkie pie/cherry pie (pinky pie pie?) on taobao, so I snapped her up.  Unfortunately my pinky pie is packed away in Australia, so I can't do a comparison shot, but here she is by herself.

Finally got my Lyra Rays.  And without further ado:

Here eyes like Trixie Shy's are much different to her base pony.  They are actually the same shade of colour as Sunny Rays but they are a completely different shape.  So I have no idea what is going on there.  Colour of plastic is exactly the same.

Trixie Shy arrived today.  Here is a comparison shot.

Eyes are very different, and the colour is slightly paler on the Trixie Shy.  Maybe because of a change in the design of Trixie before release??

So it is official pinky pie (or as I like to call her, Cherry Pie) is just Cherry Berry with the wrong symbol.  I guess they made a mistake with the printing at the factory.  Here is a comparison shot.

Sorry about the quality, no skills + iphone = fail at photography   They are pretty much identical except for the symbol.

I did also order Lyra rays, but they sent me regular Lyra.  I hope I can sort out the error, but I don't speak the language.  So we'll see.

Nah, just angles of my phone, it has a funny shaped case on it, so I wasn't holding it straight.  She looks smaller because of *THE POWER OF THE MIND MWAHAHAHA*

I am going with "Pinkie Berry"...so as not to confuddle myself with the "real" Cherry Pie...although with the yellow hair and the balloon symbols...maybe "Surprise Berry" or "Cherry Surprise" works better

Pinkie's eyes look darker.  Pinkie normally has blue eyes. :O

That's because, as I said, she is Cherry Berry with Pinky Pies Symbol.

She is on her way, I might get my hands on her today or tomorrow with any luck.  Same with trixie shy. 

My guess is, that there has been a bit of printing mishaps lately, and that's the kind of stuff people get to take home.  I would have thought that it would be more cost effective to wipe the symbols off and try again.  But I guess not.

Bump for Trixie Shy.  As you can see she is a slightly lighter blue, and her eyes are quite different.  This may be because of updates in Trixie's design though.
