Hard to Find G4s?

Are there any Hard to Find/Rare G4's out there that a new collector should know about to be on the lookout for? I'm thinking of heading back to the toy section after work tomorrow to pick up a new pony or two and am wondering if there are any must snags I should look for? Any pics would be helpful too!

I geared that blossomforth is somehow htf. But dont know for sure, she didnt came to Spain.

I think it generally depends on the area people live in. Some people can't find Cherry Pie & Diamond Rose right now anywhere but others have seen tons of them where they live.


Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that Dewdrop Dazzle has become a bit htf though.

Dewdrop, really? She was my first G4 pony. Weird lol.

I've seen a large variety everywhere I've been so that's why I ask lol. I did hear that the larger fashion style applejack was rare though.

It took Many stores for me to find Lily blossom. Cupcake and Blossomforth were a bit tricky.

when I started collecting mine in November last year I didn't really have trouble finding any of the normal sized singles, except Lily Blossom. I had to hop to a few different stores to find them all, but Lily Blossom took some hunting.

Most of the ones people have been naming as HTF lately seem to be from wave 3 though

what's the difference between the waves? so the one's with the pets is like wave 3 or 2?

Waves are the ponies that are released together and the order of release. For example, the normal sized singles are referred to as "Playful Ponies"; wave 1 was the mane 6, wave 2 was Lily Blossom and Cheerilee, and so on. The releases of the fashion styles and playsets are set up as waves as well. Though those are US releases, and they seem to be different overseas.

Since you're from Australia, the international exclusives that kittybethy is talking about wouldn't really be rare to you. There's Star Swirl that came as a bonus pony with Rarity's Carriage, Rainbow Flash has a turtle and came bundled with Rainbow Dash, Daisy Dreams has a butterfly and came bundled with Fluttershy, and Skywishes comes as a bonus pony with Scooter Rainbow Dash.

Nope, we haven't had anything like that for G4 in the US

Hmm, I don't think there are any hard to find ones yet, but the country specific ponies or Canterlot ponies may be more hard to get for people.


Star Swirl, Daisy Dreams, Rainbow Flash, and Sky Wishes can be hard to get for people that don't live in the countries where they are distributed. Also, I bet Starbeam Twinkle and Shine Bright Luna are a little sought after, too.


But yeah, I agree with others in saying it really depends on whats available in your area.  Everything is distributed somewhere in the world, so nothing is really rare, but everything is also not distributed evenly.

I think the only hard to finds are ponies which have been exclusives to certain countries and those are probably only difficult to track down for those not in the countries where they were released as they were not available there?

So StarSwirl, Rainbow Dash, Daisy Dreams, SkyWishes are "hard to find" for the US/Canada and Starbeam Twinkle and Sweetie Swirl are hard to find for the rest of the world!

Is Target a US-only store? Is that why Canterlot exclusives are difficult to find for people in other countries?
