I admit that I am happy that at least my all-time favorite legendary Pokemon isn't an event-only Pokemon (Mewtwo).

My feelings exactly!  I'm so glad that my favorite (Lugia) is easily obtainable.  My biggest hurdle was getting a shiny Lugia and I finally got one this year!

So today it's been announced that a special dual pack will be coming to North America soon. Here's the link to the news article on Bulbapedia:

This dual pack will contain both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and it'll be available as a BestBuy and Amazon exclusive, retailing for $79.98. As a bonus the pack will also include two download codes which can be redeemable in-game, giving you 100 Potions.

Yeah, the gift itself is kinda lame, but the price itself is pretty tempting. I wonder if the dual pack will be available elsewhere, like Amazon.uk...

Mega Beedrill made me way to excited for this game. I haven't used mega evolution past the forced Lucario fight in X, but this time around I'll probably overuse it for one of my favourite Pokemon. I just hope Beedrill/Beedrilite will be available in the main game.

Pretty sure it will be. I can't imagine a Beedrillite being the "Mega Blaziken" of ORAS.

@Sprinklecupcake - to get a demo you download it from eshop, after you utilize a special code. The method of obtaining said code varies - some folks got it from various places, others recieve it from a Nintendo Club Newsletter. There was a website that once posted a buttload (about 2000+) of codes for those who are unable to obtain it from those particular events. I might have a link to it still somewhere...

i preordered two, but transferred the money to just one (birthday gift for a friend.)
i just got another copy of x and i want to finish it first. besides used copies come with pokemon.

Yeah, so far, you need a code from Nintendo, when you're in the trainer's club, I believe. I know I was doing it for a while, and you need it to access the Dream World thing. I was happily surprised when I got mine!

I'm buying both OR and AS. I'm going to transfer the shiny Latias I caught on my White 2 back in May (after soft-reseting heaven knows how many thousands of times) to Pokebank and send her to Sapphire or Ruby! She's my first shiny legendary obtained by the soft-reset method!

Errr question- do you have to preorder both OR and AS at toysrus to recieve a charizard plush? My husband wants to cancle his preorder for OR so he can buy the new Farcry game so im left with just AS in my preorder ;_; also, does TRU do the midnight release for the games?

From what I have been told, it has to be BOTH games in order to get the plush. And I think TRU doesn't do midnight releases for games. Never heard of them doing one, at least.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to have both of them pre-ordered in order to get a plush.

It's crazy how many people are canceling their pre-orders!  I'm still on the fence (there are other games I'd rather buy) but I have a few friends who decided they don't want to get these remakes... at least not right now, anyway.  That makes me feel a little better about buying a different game.  I won't lie; I didn't want to be the only one of my friends not getting one of these games.
