I loved these guys because my daughter used to draw these aliens that reminded me of them and then I liked them as good hybrids with monster high... don't regret any of the customs I made but man oh man I had no idea these guys would end up in the hundreds

I think if I remember some of these were the ones that only ended up in russia but still $400plus??

so here's a shout out = DON'T just toss these guys in the failed toyline catagory

The final line showed up here in England, too But just briefly, and only at one shop, The Entertainer. They get a lot of end-of-line stock so I think that's how they wound up here. But wowow I had no idea their price would shoot up THAT much O_O It feels like just five minutes ago they were on the shelves, too!

Was I the one who sold them to you Carrehz? 

They weren't my thing, but they DID appear in The Entertainer (which is odd, as The Entertainer never stocked MH and seems very strange about what they will and will not stock). I got a Tilly Vision for someone there, I believe a bug-themed one for someone as well? Ina Ferna and Anne Arctic and the sweet-themed ones were The Entertainer I believe, but I could find certain ones at XS Stock as well. I never saw a Mimi Mezmerise in the wild, I would be tempted to get her after seeing Egophiliac's fanart of her!

Nope, I got them from The Entertainer I think the only Novi I got from anyone else was Nita and I got her off eBay.

Mimi is my favourite, she's soooo cute - I really need to take a good photo of mine (I have pics but they're awful, I'm not posting them ). There's a new Rainbow/Shadow High doll (don't remember which) coming out soon (or maybe is already out? I don't keep up with the line) that has a pic of Mimi on their shirt, little in-joke by MGA I suppose, has anyone else seen that? I think it's a nice detail.

oh sweet you found some of those candy themes in the wild at the Entertainer yeah they did not make it to the US at all so I was lucky to get mine from ebay when there was someone who sold all four for like $150 I think which at the time I thought was ridiculously expensive but now I am thankful :-)

love how it looks like a casual friends gathering and I love all the pets they have as well :-)

these days I bet there would be an instagram hangout if you ever wanted to try to find 'em I for one know I will not be in a bidding war like what I saw

so cool there are a few here that have these guys still :-)

I love Novi Stars, I used to have some when I was younger. Sadly they went the way of all my childhood toys. Maybe I'll get some more.

oh no pipsqueak that reads like my own childhood story where all the ponies and breyers and  fashion fillies ended up in a big church / community yardsale ...

yeah that was a regret of mine so  I made sure I was one of those moms that kept everything toy-wise ...hehe that was my excuse to keep stuff on the shelves "for the kids" (including my own inner child)

so yeah not sure how often novis show up in the wild but ya never know with FB groups these days in addition to so many other online shops it's cool IMO to be able to find such childhood treasures again :-)

sooo... do I look to rebuild her back to her original?  This is one of those hybrids I am wondering about and feel like I've customized a piggy pony thinking it was a fakie

Yes, I just knew these guys would become insanely rare haha, but that aside they are one of my favourite lines of all time! I think their limited distribution towards the end of the line contributes to it, as the wave one characters are pretty easy and cheap to find, but everyone else... insane!
 I own everyone except for Mimi Merize and Justina Hour (so if anyone is selling...)

I miss Picklepud's doll photos on MHArena! She was amazing at it!

Awww, that's sweet but also sad at the same time. I wasn't a collector, but I was a buyer for other people and it brings back warm memories of doll hunting and my active MH collecting phase at the same time. Novi Stars appeared in Toys'r'Us as well, and the Gali Lexi skins appeared in Home Bargains.

I kinda hope they bring the line back, market maybe for adult collectors since it's got a strong base for adults

I miss seeing Novi Stars around!

I only ever got ahold of one- She was a trade for something and I honestly can't remember what, all my old trade PMs are on the MHArena.

It's Una Verse- pretty sure she's one of the most common ones out there, but she's still gorgeous. Her head came to me on a Bratzillas monster mashup body? Whatever the equivalent of CaMs are for Bratzillas, idk, I only have one. (and the headless body. ) I transplanted her onto a CaM clear body- she was naked for YEARS until a week or two ago, lol, I figured out how to make a barbie dress fit on her and gave her Mouscede's accessories since I loved them, but hated them on her. X)

AHHH YES!! Switch-a-Witch! I can't believe I forgot! I did know that at one point, I always thought that was honestly a really cute name for them.
