I've not seen a thread about this, if there  is one I apologise! I saw these around for a while and wasn't too taken, though intrigued, and seeing one fur really steep discount is stepping up my interest. I'm not a fan of the sporty-looking one, but the others are slowly really grabbing my attention.

Does anyone collect these? Thoughts? I laughed when I saw the CAR but otherwise I think I might get a few! They come with stands, which was my main concern!

I’ve seen these.  I really like the winter themed ones.  And the car is hilarious.

I've heard they've been discontinued but I'm not 100% sure of it. I don't own any, but they are very pretty. The high prices are holding me back from getting one, I haven't come across a good deal on them at my local stores yet (it doesn't help that I don't check very often for sure).

Price is deffo a factor, though The Entertainer has a couple for very cheap and they seem to be reduced to clear at Tesco BUT are not really listed online despite a link showing them? They're still full price elsewhere. I don't know about discontinued, it would be a shame if they were!

Sadly, they have been discontinued. A slumber party line and a line of smaller dolls were planned for release but got cancelled.

This is what the smaller dolls look like. They would have been called "sirenz".

One of the dolls was on steep discount (and yes, kicking myself for not getting it when I saw it in person!) but rather than travel up to get it and have to pay more in travel costs, I ordered off TRU. There are other dolls in Smyths but I think I need to sit down and work out the line since I'm not sure how many there are. I like most of them to be fair, but want to have a cap on how much I spent on them if I like them enough to continue.

That's so sad they won't continue with lovely designs! Price and quality are factors, as the reviews on Smyths on some of the dolls are NOT good at all, especially for a doll that price

I've seen these a few times.  Are the tails removable or am I thinking of some other line of mermaid dolls? I saw one that I think was Winter themed that I liked, but not enough to buy her.

IIRC the tails are not removable. I remember seeing that as a common criticism about them (that and the prices) around doll communities I browse.

I bought two on clearance: the rock one and the one with the cloud purse on the far right. I haven’t unboxed, but they’re pretty!

I think I get them mixed up with Mermaid High.  Those have removable tails.  The car would make a lot more sense if they could transform.   How are mermaids supposed to drive the car with their tails?

So I got Crystabella the Winter Waves one from TRU and she looks good! I really like the eyes, I haven't unboxed her yet but looks like I'm going to need to get the rest!

So I got three more of the dolls, I left Jordie as I REALLY wasn't feeling her in person, and I just deboxed Harmonique for a closer look.

Her top is ripped in two places, but I'm not sure if that's deliberate, though part of me says no. Her jacket is STIFF and keeps forcing her arms a certain way, and keeps forcing her earrings off her ears. But, ghoulfriends, her HAIR. Her hair is HUGE, it's HEAVY, and it's BAD. There's a part I'm not sure is even supposed to be there, it's very cheap and a tangled nightmare. The instructions actually tell you how to wash the hair if you want to style it, but I'm not brave enough to do that since I messed up 13 Wishes Abbey. Supposiedly, the dolls can stand on their tails, but her hair makes that IMPOSSIBLE and also forces her head at a certain angle.

I'm not sad I bought her, the glass insert eyes still have the same pull as OUAZ dolls did, but man that HAIR is an A+ nightmare. She WILL need a stand but doesn't come with one, as again she's supposed to stand on her own, but I'll need to find if someone has  a stand substitute for her

(Crystabella Winter Waves comes with a stand)

I have a few of these dolls, and I think they're really lovely though I wish the tails had a knee joint.  It's so sad they're discontinued - they were going in such a good direction with the planned lines that won't be released, I would have bought all the Sirenz with the articulated tails.

I just ordered 4 of the Winter Waves ones (Nera, Harmonique, Kishiko and Gwen) and I mulled over the 'limited edition' one as she was cheap but her colours weren't really grabbing me. I wobbled on Gwen as well but ultimately got her. The big one missing is Basic Kishiko, I found a seller for one but she has ghosted me and I don't want to pay full price for her, but looks like I might need to  She's super-pretty and I think I'll be mad at myself if I don't get her. I got all the Basics apart from Jordyn as she REALLY didn't grab me in person, and I think Gwen is the least pretty Winter Waves one but honestly the line for Winter Waves is near flawless. I'm glad I picked these girls up, the insert eyes really make them stand out and remind me of why I fell for OUAZ like I said.

I just need to find a stand for the basics; they CAN balance on their tails but only just about!

I might be the only person in this thread now  So I got the last two Winter Waves girls, Harmonique and Kishiko. And they are STUNNING!!! I'm so sad the line is ending, I'm going to send an email to confirm it will because these girls have really hooked my heart. I am still mulling over wither or not to get the special collectors edition and I do kinda want the swappable tail one, but I have all the Winter Waves, and all the Basics except Jordyn as I didn't like her!

Price is very much a sticking point, especially for the Basics. The Winter Waves at least were much fancier.

I emailed MGA Entertainment asking about the potential cancellation of the line. I got an email back saying thank you for my patience, and they are still working on a reply to me  :what: I'm wondering if the cancellation is real or only potentially a thing?? Or is someone being investigated for leaking the news of the cancellation?? I'll keep everyone up to date if I get a reply!

I'm sad the line was cancelled but in some kind of good news, there are production line samples of the Sirenz and clothes of the slumber party line floating about. I've only heard and seen themabout them surfacing in China.

Oh! They’ve made a new line.

I love the first one with bow for a tail.  Very clever.

Hmm, the article says they were planned to release in July 2023 but got postponed. Did these end up ever releasing?

That's very interesting; I'm still waiting to hear back from the official site about the line as they were basically apologising for how long it was taking back to me .. I asked if the line was officially cancelled, wonder if there is weirdness behind the scenes? I wonder if the Sirenz will therefore come out?

Monroe is a MUST get for me, the others are kinda meh except the last one with the crescent moon tail.

The Slumber Party dolls ARE released, I have three of them as two of them I really wasn't feeling. I am curious where the line goes from where!

Unfortunately they are cancelled (Pixel Zoo, the company that animates the show/etc is based here in my home state and I have been able to talk with people there), the Slumber Party dolls were already in production when it was cancelled, hence why they ended up with a small amount of them to sell :(

I am unsure if the Sirenz will also receive a small release as boxed samples exist and they may want to recoup mold costs at the very least.
