there are so many instances in g5 where it feels like they are trying to sell toys but then don't

they went out of their way to give all the dragons names when most of them are pretty much just background characters with no development they also made the dragons more pony like and even though it was stated that it was just because they wanted to reuse the pony rig for the dragons it also makes them look a lot more toyetic as a result it seems like they were using the dragons to sell toys yet they only made one of them as a toy as far as we know

the auracorns and blue thunders (or whatever that one pegasus band was called I dont remember) have a design similar to that one mane 5 set with the translucent glitter plastic but they don't have any toys made of them at all

ruby jubilee seems like the kind of character to have one of those talking/singing princess type toys made of her (similar to pipp/songbird serenade) and her design is really pretty but all we got for bridlewoodstock was just some dress up toys of the main five

they brought back the breezies for pretty much no reason they were always made to sell toys but they did nothing in terms of toys with them and the show would be pretty much the same without them the night market could have just been a unicorn thing

posey/the dreamlands are a pretty easy nostalgia cash in but no toys were really made of them (I know there is a mini world magic posey but im talking about mainline toys) posey played a huge role in the first make your mark special and it almost seemed like she was going to be a main character for a minute until misty showed up but she does not even get a basic brushable 

why is hasbro trying to sell us nonexistent toys

did anyone else notice that all the adult ponies released during 1986 (excluding big brother ponies) use the same five molds? the quackers, mimic, crumpet, dancing butterflies, and sugarberry poses are repeated across all of the sets the only exception being ponies that were re-released from previous years

A few months ago I got some g4 ponies from a garage sale including lyra rainbow dash pretzel and lily blossom they had some red glitterly stuff that I think might be nail polish on them but I didn't inspect them too closely because they were only one dollar each and I didn't have any of them apon closer inspection the red stuff is also in their manes the glitter is very fine and doesn't come out when I rinse them the manes feel very sticky and greasy I was able to save pretzel which I am pleased with because she is my favorite but I'm not sure about the others. Is there a way to get this crap out of their manes or are they doomed to my pile of bait ponies for when I eventually get around to trying customizing

I don't know if anyone other than me thinks about this that much but sence they made so many weird ponies in g1 if you overthink it a little too much things get really weird

So the newborn baby ponies are what ponies look like when they are newborn right? Then what are the tiny baby ponies are they ponies that were born smaller or is the name of the newborn ponies a lie? Just to add one more layer of confusion we have the surprise twins pony either baby ponies are born basically the size of puppies or these two are being born way too early.

That's only scratching the surface. What happens when a baby pony grows up but it's name is still baby (insert mom name) is that pony just stuck living in its moms shadow? Even in the show the regular baby ponies don't even act like babies they behave more like small children.

A regular pony is an adult right? No. The dream beauty ponies are supposed to be the grown up versions of the regular ponies and also the sweetheart sisters are supposed to be teen versions? So the ponies start small then get tall and skinny then get shorter and more chubby then they just grow huge?

I know I'm overthinking the colorful horses I just thought this would start an interesting conversation

I wouldn't do it for any pony with significant value but if I cut off the end of a ponies mane to get rid of tangles will it cause any problems later 

I was reorganizing my g1 pony display by color I got to my princess  primrose who has her back legs warped in a way where she can't stand and can't really  lean on another  pony for support I just put her down on her side but now it looks really  weird I read somewhere that you can fix this by pouring  warm water in the ponies body and letting it sit for a while but I don't  want  to do that because I'm scared  of getting  her moldy is there another way to fix this

A few days ago I was holding zipp then one of her wings came out this happens every once in a while and its no big deal but when I tried to put it back in I accidentally put a little too much pressure on her body and one of her legs snapped right off this is an issue that all toy horses have to deal with and normally mlp does a pretty good job avoiding this issue but not this time
