G3 Styling Ponies?!?

So I was browsing a website looking up my Rarity G3 (Who I love, she's so pretty and her hair is sooo long .) and low and behold I find this:

And I'm like O.o Thats not my Rarity....And I look up the 'Styling' line of G3 ponies....
and now I'm hooked...I need them!!

What I find weird is when people call G4 Fashion Styles 'Styling" ponies. Styling ponies came with HAIR STYLING accesories, Fashion styles come with FASHION clothes and accesories. :s

I have Dash, Rarity, and Star Catcher. They are all awesome. The G3 styling ponies are some of my favourites, they're so big and have so much hair!

I'll get some pics of them next to some G4s and regular G3s tomorrow. They're HUGE compared to G4s.

Yes, they were made for me by PrincessFirefly, another collector who I have not seen around in a while.   She used to make scarfs and legwarmers.   I got those in a swap box.

Yep, I have Rarity, Cheerilee, Rainbow Dash, and Starcatcher with partially working color changing. I don't really want Pinkie Pie, but I can't decide if I should get her just to have all of them.

But can anyone tell me, why is Cheerilee a lavender unicorn when regular-sized G3 Cheerilee is a pink/pink-purple Earth pony? Is it even supposed to be the same character?
