I love thrift stores and came home with this girl. I didn't know anything about her but I knew she'd be a great custom doll project. Someone took a marker to her plastic eyes and got some stray marks on her face. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFresh from thrift shop.I cut her head open with my exacto knife to get to the eyes from inside. Since I don't like her dead-fish look, I plan on using pretty glass ones instead. :3 visitors can't see pics , please register or loginCutting the head open, Eyes out and started removing factory paint. Note: I use Winsdor and Newton's brush cleaner and restorer. It's so much easier to use and no risk of staining. Yeah, I know some prominent faceup artists/customizers swear by acetone/nail polish remover, but I hate the stuff. It can eat vinyl and resin and it's easy to stain when removing factory paint. Why scrub when just a few wipes with W & N does the job so much quicker and cleaner? /rant/ visitors can't see pics , please register or loginWiped faceup, NOT NAIL POLISH REMOVER. After removing the eyes, I had to cut the eye wells(?) out to fit the replacement eyes. I carefully used my exacto knife again to cut away the extra plastic material from around the eye holes. I quickly wiped away the painted scalp. I went back and thoroughly wiped the scalp clean again after this photo was shot. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginEye removal. Show me your ponies in their costumes! ( There was a similar thread in the dollhouse, and it's a cute idea! )

Everyone loves them and now so do I! I need these! Can anyone please help me get at least two sets of these ponies? PM me for details. We can work out finder fees and maybe a freebie item from my trade post. I'm talking about these ponies visitors can't see pics , please register or loginPoniesg4 by PassionatePoppy, on Flickr

I've got a Summerwing Highflyer recently and I love these little ponies! Upon closer inspection, I noticed that pink highlighter stain on one leg and on her cutie mark. Other than that she's pretty close to being perfect, minus her wings. What methods you use on purple ponies without risking the cutie marks?

Creepy, yes. I had two that had terrible eye mech rust and no amount of cleaning would work. I plucked out their eyes and I wanted to replace them with tiny glass ones. My issue is with baby Sundance... She seems to be made of a more harder material than the rest of my ponies. Like she was made of hard plastic like action figures. Getting her eyes out was a terrible awful mess. Can pony get stale/stiff or get harder over time? Sorry, having a hard time describing what is with my Sundance... lol

I want to re hair my Sweetie Belle in a minty-ish color to match her eyes. I've never done this Is it difficult? Maybe cheaper to find someone to do it for me?

I have a few on their backing that I would love to keep. I just don't know how. I would think a photo album would be okay, but I don't want to risk the plastic page pockets sticking to the front of the sticker. Anyone keep stickers with advice on how to keep them in minty condition?

Got all three minutes ago from my Walmart!! I actually got a second Sunny Rays because I wanted one to keep mint in box and a second one to have to play with Sunny Rays is probably one of my new favorite FiM ponies now!

I love this pony maker <3 Since I haven't really drawn some of my ponies before, I used this to kinda get a feel for how I want my original ponies to look like. Maybe someday I'll get a chance to draw them myself!
