I referenced it for release info for the Hair Matching Guide (probably still have a lot of things wrong, but I'm doing my best), and I didn't find anything major that I can remember. If anything, it would be nice to have the ability to enlarge your photos by clicking/tapping.

G1 and G3, while nostalgia definitely plays a part for me, are attractive because of their variety of characters (not counting Core 7). According to the MLP Merch count of G4 "brushables," 679 of the 1034 releases are Mane 6 or supporting secondary characters. For G5, it's 99 of the 121 releases. I don't want to keep buying the same character over and over. (That's what Barbie is for.) Quality is also far less than G1 and G3, though both are not without their flaws.
Like Taffeta said, Hasbro has to be willing to let go of its G4 cash cow and fully embrace a new generation and fresh design that is not at all attached to Friendship Is Magic for the brand to have a chance at continued success. Right now, it feels like they're just dipping their toes in with G5 and keeping G4 alive as a fallback. I always felt that they let G4 fans - we all know which ones - have too much influence on the show's and toys' directions.

Not a fan of either pose, but I chose Buttons because she's part of my childhood herd.

Zig Zag because she was my first Pony Friend. Cutesaurus because dinosaurs are awesome. And Baby Hoppy because kangaroos are cute.

It wasn't uncommon in those days for collectors to pull it out of their G3s. I remember several collectors detinseling because it was just nearly impossible to tame.

Topher's family announced on his Facebook profile today that he has passed away. Topher was a longtime community member and a friend. I am so sorry to his loved ones.

working on a project for collectors to catalogue their ponies in new and different ways
This sounds fantastic! Awaiting more info! Getting my pony "room" set up in the basement. Everything's been packed since we bought the house almost two years ago. Time flies. Plan and host the Southwestern PA Pony Meet in September. Organize sales of duplicates. Continue to catalog my collection. Continue to update MyLittleWiki when I can. Continue to update the hair matching website.

Hit up a couple of vintage/antique marketplaces after I met someone locally to pick up a G3 First 50 Sunny Daze. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I feel like I remember this being discussed elsewhere awhile back. They're bootlegs. They're nice bootlegs if you're OK with not having the authentic figures, but there are differences between the two.

This is so nostalgic. Digital cameras were not common then, and smartphones didn't exist. So I wish I had thought to take pictures back then, but sadly, I did not. I do have some pretty cool signage from the time, though, since I worked at Walmart from 2003-09 and had many things saved from the baler/compactor for me by the toys department manager.
