Just FYI Target has some of the first wave at 7.99. Fernessa is 10.49, I think Slate is too.

So... If ebay has them, where are they getting them from? Still only Meijer and Cracker Barrel? Do they even sell them anymore?

This is interesting. We're these ponies from later in the line?

Paper Source filed for bankruptcy.

But yes, I haven't seen ponies at Target in a year now. It's very disappointing. I caught a few before last Easter at a TJ Maxx, but I haven't seen any anywhere since.

New fakie on the horizon to look out for!
Fail fix pets - there's a pony!
Pictures are taken from YouLoveIt

The cat's "fail" face speaks to me. :P Do want.

Ordered the cat and blue dog because of this post. Moose made Zelfs which were great and disappeared very quickly, so I'm not going to wait on these. They are absolutely adorable and I as well prefer the "fail" faces!

I'm so mad I gave away my Snowel. I had no idea she was rare.

Do not use the cream. It's prone to cause more problems down the line.

Just buy hydrogen peroxide (I just use the pharmacy strength which I believe is 3%. Others have called for higher but I don't trust it) and pour it into a container you can put a lid on. Remove the ponys tail and immerse the body fully. You then place the whole container in a windowsill and turn it once a day to sunfade evenly.

I added oxiclean, myself. I personally left the head in a different container with the hair hanging outside of it. It is a slight more annoying because you have to flip the head every day, but I didn't want to ruin the mane.

I used this on a Tropical Breeze with age spots, a Cloud Puff with regrind, and a dingy yellow So Soft Surprise. I didn't have the patience for the Flutters but the age spots did fade from what they were to a significant amount. Surprise was my focus and she is now a lovely bright white. She had weird spots too and they disappeared.

If it's winter though the sun is obviously out less, so the sunfading will take longer.

I hope this may have helped you in some way!

Pony Corral / Re: What was your best pony purchase for 2020?

Hollywood. I never thought I'd get her. Now I've got almost all the Flutters.

But I also got a semi baity Tex who I am really looking forward to restoring. I say "semi baity" because his mane is uncut and he has most of his tail. Almost no symbol though and scratched up eyes.

As an update, yep the seller has an attitude lol. I can see negative feedback in her future.

She's trying to act like I did it when the listing deliberately obscured the stain.

It's always so amazing how you take a static model in a boring pose with a bad paint job and make it into a dynamic, elegant and lifelike pose with a beautiful paint job. :)

Yeah I haven't started any cleaning or what not, because I was pretty shocked at the condition and knew it'd take a lot of elbow grease.

Awesome replies everyone. :)

Pony Corral / eBay n00b, do I leave negative feedback?
« on: October 06, 2020, 11:02:16 AM »
Long story short, received a pony that, on the listing, looked great. But once I got it, her whole side is marred with some kind of dark color. Not sure if it's rust from the inside or what.

Regardless, seller only had photos which obscured this fact. Thankfully I didn't pay too much, and I won't bother to return her (time for pony cleaning experiments!) considering there's no returns anyway. Do I contact the seller first?

If anyone recalls the site, I have a Princess Misty with "Erin" on her front left hoof. :)

There were only 2 PL brushables left on the shelf at Target, both Trixie, last I looked. Not sure if they're just not shipping many or what.

That was a SPEED-DRAW.  I couldn't draw something that good if I worked on it for ten years.

You definitely could. You just follow shapes and shadows from a photograph. ;)

As for the new movie, hopefully it does take some stuff from G4 (and G1, and Tales) because it's just cute to reference. It's a shout out to those who grew up with the older stuff, and still follow it today. It's like making Jem without a reference to the old cartoon at all.

...oh wait, Hasbro did exactly that.
