I sun fade during the winter but I agree it takes a significantly longer time for anything - Scotland does not understand the concept of sunshine from about August to May. :P However as its UV content which is important any exposure is going to make a difference. Think of it as how even in the faintest of lights a pink haired pony will fade, its the same with a stain - it will take crazy longer but it will go.

As for anything internal...unless you are going to pop that pony under a sun bed :P you wont get anything internal which will help. The UV which sunfades is the same UV which tans and damages skin; so outside sunbed lamps there does not tend to be anything sold which has the same effect due to how dangerous the light is.

Actually a tanning bulb was exactly what I was going to invest in, That was my initial thought...

Maybe I sign up for a tanning bed membership and take the pony with me every time!! Kidding - I used to be a tanning bed person, not any longer... not really my thing anymore.

I think the tanning places would be a little disturbed if you came in and put your ponies on the bed rather than climbing on oneself...

Many years ago I used to work in a cafe opposite a sun tan salon...having watched who and what walked through the doors...I dont think they would be surprised by anything!

:lmao: I have to agree, just being a customer I've seen some ridiculous things go into tanning beds. I watched one woman take a suitcase (which she later revealed was full of sandals and bikinis) because she wasn't sure which "tan lines" she wanted...

You could also send her to someone down here in Auz or NZ and we could fade her over summer for you! The ozone hole means we get WICKED sunfading summers, haha!

Buy an OTT Lite! I love mine and it works amazing on ponies. I have done pen ink, highlighter and yellowing so far and its had great results!

An actual daylight bulb? I have loads of those for sewing and never had any luck with them at all! Is it a specific type?

I know I've seen the ottlight idea before and there was some discussion on whether it would do anything. I know I  haven't had any results with mine.

You might also consider going into a pet store and buying a sun lamp that they sell for reptiles. I don't know if this will work as I've never tried it myself, but I suspect it will.

Here's one I found on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Flukers-Mini-Reptile-5-5-Inch-Fixture/dp/B003I5QNGY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1382390173&sr=8-3&keywords=sun+lamp+for+reptiles

At OTT lamp? I totally have one of those! I'm not sure I'd want it on all the time though, it gets so hot and I don't want to burn down the house or anything XD
