Changing things up. The first week of every month will feature G1's then, 2nd=G2's, 3rd=G3's, 4th= G4's/misc. merch/play sets, 5th week, well, that's when we start throwing fakies...

I had her, but sold her. Mine was bald. Never got around to rehairing her.

Or to give her her proper name, Movie Star Magic Star/ 1987 My Little Pony Magic Star.

There's no such thing as a NSS pony.

I will always prefer this version of MS even though as a kid I agonised over her being in that pose. I actually don't like the SS so much, she doesn't seem like Magic Star to me (but then nor does the animated version, she's so dull in comparison to the UK version).

Magic Star has the enviable reputation of being the most magical pony in ponyland, according to the UK fact file and UK comic lore. She certainly cast a lot of spells using the wand on her symbol, including Iirc wish granting and other various things.

I think it's awesome that our pony lore didn't fall into the trap of making only the unicorns magical. It's such a statement to give that role to an earth pony, especially given G5's very dull 'earth-ponies-without-magic' garbage.

So yeah. This will always be Magic Star to me. The other is literally a pale imitation *lol*. Definitely a pony worthy of not being called a non-version of a US release, imo.

The NSS ver is adorable, but I'd love a deflock of the SS Magic Star one day. The rearing pose is so lovely.
