As far as I can tell, Goldkehl (gold-throat) is a name given to various yellow-throated birds. It also seems to imply a nice singing voice, e.g. Die Hamburger Goldkehlchen is a choir from Hamburg. (Goldkehlchen is also the name of a brand of cider with a gold bird on the label, but that's beside the point.) I think that's right but I'm not a native German speaker, I only know a little bit.

I had Goldkehlchen as a kid, sadly gave her away as an adult. -_- I currently have two of her I think, german and english version but I tooootally want the spanish talking one :)
