We were in the Cascais-Monte Estoril-Estoril area, but most of the time in Monte Estoril :) Where are you from exactly?

Hurray, Sverige!

I voted for the Buranovskiye grannies myself, though. :P But I actually think placing 2nd was much better for them, I'm not sure they even wanted to win, lol. They were awesome nevertheless and I'm very happy to see they did that well.

I can see why Loreen won... can't get that song out of my head.  :shakefist: (Well, it's still better than La La (la la la la la la) Love... which is another one that's been playing in my head constantly for the past few days.)

Anyone tried any drinking games?  I looked up some of those and they seemed pretty hilarious.

apparently, they all chose a country to represent and the bottom right paper is how many shots they have to drink for every point their country gets.
My friend was representing Sweden, I hope he's still alive after this :P

SWEDEN :D

I'm really glad we won, we had a really good song this year (and maybe Sweden will calm down with the Eurovision mania now xD )

The grannies should have won. That old lady pilling out a tray of biscuits from a random oven on stage half way through was inspired....

I'm so, so happy Loreen won! I've been a fan ever since I first heard Euphoria a few months ago (would have been before but I had never heard of her before, unfortunately). It's just such an original and exciting song and performance, very free and energetic. Also, Loreen herself seems like such a sweet and caring person :) I'm so proud of her for talking to human rights activists, when none of the others did so. She had her heart in the right place and deserved to win 100%. :frolic:

As for the other artists, I absolutely loved the UK's song and it deserved more points. Great performance and beautiful song, mr. Humperdinck! That song just makes me want to dance all the time. Also I like Jedward and with all the buzz I was kind of surprised they got so little points. I guess people don't really want to see the same act twice in a row, uh? Still it was a nice song :) Russia was of course awesome and I'm so happy they came in second place, I love those grannies and I have such respect for them doing this at their age!!! Can you imagine the lives they have lived and now they ended up here!

All in all it was a really nice show :) Can't wait for next year!!! Now let's hope The Netherlands sends a good act for once, I'm so embarrassed  :yikes:

I usually don't watch this, but I came home from work right as the voting began and watched it while eating dinner. I was a bit chocked that Sweden won, but the song is annoyingly good and it stick in the head like superglue. I don't even think most swedes thought she would win, so it was a surprisingly good event. My neighbours had some sort of ESC-party because right after they were shouting and screacming and running out on the balcony celebrating, lol. It was a few crazy minutes before they settled down again so I could go to sleep.
I have no idea which of the other contestants was good or bad because I didn't listen too carefully on the reruns but I thought the russian ladies look scary.

Aienhime: Loreen came from nowhere, almost. She participated in Swedens Idol 2004, didn't win and after that I never heard from her again, until now. She's probably done some things inbetween but I have no idea what.

LOL Eurovision.. I don't even like it much, still I somehow end up watching it every year. :|

My favorites were Ireland & Russia, but I also enjoyed Italy, Moldavia and the UK .. and well, Turkey was fun?! XD
I'm not surprised sweden won, being the google-pick and all.. :)
It's a nice song, too.. not my style but still. Congrats Sweden! :D

I was VERY surprised that the Scream-Song (Albania?) scored so high.. WHAT THE... Who likes that kind of.. screaming. xD
And I am also surprised that we, germany, scored somewhat high. Such a lame song and I really don't know why we always, always, always send people who suck at english to sing english songs.. I never understand a single word our guy sings. xD;
