Wow, that's such an amazing story! It's just too bad the original hands this pony passed through didn't know how to care for her properly -- though good that they didn't know how much she would be worth! I'm glad she finally made it into the hands of a true pony person!

Wow! Read through this thread and got to say, Drusilla, you are one lucky gal!!  Chances like that are only once in a lifetime of very few! Good thing it wasn't a giant Cotton Candy or I'd be trying to offer my arms and legs and kidney to whoever had come across her, lol! Sundance is GORGEOUS! You did a magnificent job cleaning her up after her rescue. Glad a pony collector rescued her.

i agree plushroo, the chances that my boyfriend lives that close to it, the chances that i would go out with him, then chances that i would be a pony collector. i want numerically what the odds are?  LOL

AMAZING!! I am sooooo glad a collector rescued her, I can't believe the previous owners just set her outside to get rained and pooped on D: I also find it amusing her forelock is cut, just like a lot of regular-sized ponies!
Such a great story. I always have dreams of finding stuff like this.

Like a few others, I'm wondering what in the world made someone think something made of fabric was a good choice as a lawn decoration. You did a fantastic job cleaning/restoring her, though!

I read through this entire thread. I am absolutely hooked. Like everyone else, I must know more! Can the two people who have the licencing advert please scan a copy? I think Drusilla mentioned that is where the baby is mentioned. Is there an actual picture of Sundance or the baby on it? There was probably only a few of these made for show purposes. The pics from Dogpatch look like they were taken at a summer camp! Perhaps a private production or a traveling show? I would think we would have heard of something like that by now though.

Oh and Drusilla you did a wonderful job cleaning her up! I am so happy another collector could have her to care for!

P.S. and someone mentioned giant SHS statues???
