I made a pony cake last year! Needless to say I need a lot more practice but here are some pictures of it:visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

Did you just use box mix and tint it?No box mix, standard butter/flour/sugar/eggs sponge recipe then split into batches and tinted. Best to use the paste or gel colourings (I used Dr Oetker tubes if you have them over there?) as the liquid type is too weak and dilutes the mixture too much Paul

Does anyone remember when the MLP Arena had that cake contest? The ppl who entered that should post the cakes, there were so many fun ones that I remember. I LOVE that fancy rainbow-inside cake. The pastel colors and many layers are so beautiful. It's extremely "MLP" all the way through. (It must of been a lot of work separating & dyeing in different bowls!)My cake was on there too but sadly it was a photo with a kind of poor camera so Pony Party Surprise Cake looks a little garish.visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe Surprise on top is fake. It's great to have a cake with BB's or G3s or really anypony on there because that way it's a gift & a cake in 1. After the cake is done, they collect the pony & then those ponies will always have special meaning for them because they were the "cake ponies" from that year.
Fluttershy Cheesecake: Spoilervisitors can't see pics , please register or login Princess Luna Gingerbread: Spoilervisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've had great fun doing elaborate designs and artwork on gingerbread with royal icing, and you can then go on to use it as a cake topper. Royal icing is a little more flexible art-wise than the usual kind, I would wager!
I made a Pinkie Pie cake for my 18th Birthday last December. I think this design would also look lovely with different ponies such as G1 Posey, G2 Butterfly or G4 Fluttershy. I recommend Ponyville or blind bag figures though, I was originally going to use Baby Cotton Candy but I was terrified her hair would catch fire and it felt weird to take the decals off the cake before lighting the candles. So I went with Pinkie and it turned out lovely :3 visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I was just thinking about doing some circle sugar cookies and doing different cutie marks on each of them.Post Merge: February 01, 2014, 09:47:42 AMQuote from: tinyblondie on February 01, 2014, 04:12:20 AMI made a Pinkie Pie cake for my 18th Birthday last December.
