Star-Watcher agrees.  Nothing wrong with the boys having hair.  He would look silly otherwise.

There's pic of the Walmart brushable set now! There weren't any yesterday when the listing went up.

Hitch unfortunately doesn't get any hair. :(

Zipp looks better with hair, instead of a paintbrush head. And hey Hasbro,  little girls won't be horrified if boy horses have long hair ok? Just ask the model horse industry. Cripes those tails are thin! What happened to the nice thick hair from before? Can we stick with that you cheapskates?

Lack of paint on the CMs too. >_< I hate that. G3 Ponyvilles were puny and their CMs had the same amount of detail as the full-sized ponies. So what's the deal with the boring CMs on G5s? The Styling Size ones are fine, but not these... Did the poseables have properly painted CMs? I can't remember.

I got excited for about 2.5 seconds until I saw that these all have the same vacant expression that doesn't capture their personality, and in some cases look nothing like themselves, especially Zipp (although I do agree she looks better with hair!). Thumbs down to no hair on Hitch. Those unicorn headbands are dumb.

One positive that I am seeing here, however, is that they look like they are rooted in a normal style; a line down the back of their heads/necks like an actual horse rather than a circular top-knot clump on the top of their heads.

I looove the hoof feathering

Don't their symbols... cutie marks, whatever, seem too far down the leg? It's a rump mark not a stifle mark.

First word that comes to mind is...melty? They look so ill formed. Nice to see regular mane rooting though.

I hate these, oh well. Still have G4s I need and I'm still exploring the other gens, so this will be easy to ignore.

They're so cute! It really sucks Hitch doesn't have a brushable mane. I hope hasbro has the guts to do so at some point during the G5 run.

Kinda annoyed the hooves aren't colored, I think I might paint mine

The molded mane on Hitch bothers me so I made an edit:

Cute! Their faces still look a little off to me, but they are growing on me. I wish they had their stockings and blazes too…..why design the characters that elaborately if you have no intention of making the toys look similar?

I might be crazy but…I actually don’t mind Hitch’s molded hair. I love the glittery effect it’s got going on. Poor guy apparently doesn’t get to be part of the unicorn squad though lol, where is his headband? :p

I notice Trailblazer isn't invited to play unicorn.  The hair isn't down the neck,  just down the head like a G4's. I'll pick it up for Zipp. Those faces are so off-putting.  Now,  if only we could have Zipp with proper hair, and those big, colorful, pretty wings.  I wonder if I can head swap?

My kiddo saw Trailblazer and said his hair looked like sparkly bubblegum toothpaste.

A simple styling of the hair can do a lot. SZ Izzy looks great with her curls draping around the body.

It's a broken record by now, but still; same standard standing pose. Over and over again. Just why? At least one variation of it, was that really too much?

Anyway, I'm glad some people are really into them. And the little teases we got make the movie look promising!

EDIT: I just noticed Hitch's smaller head. It really fits in well with the slender body.
