I love that Operetta has scars, even if they are very pretty ones. Ties her into the Phantom mythology and also gives those with disfigurements a doll like them...kind of surprising, given that Mattel still hasn't released a bald Barbie for cancer victims yet. Maybe Operetta is a sign they are moving in that direction?

Those are very good points. In fact, just after I posted, I realized that it was pretty good of Mattel to create a doll with scars like that.

I bought Skull Shores Draculaura today. She's the first Ula D I've actually liked (sorry guys, never have been a huge fan). But SS is adorable!! This brings me up to 9 monsters total.

Halloween clawdeen...i'd want her nude as her makeup and hair is to die for. the outfit is just so not cool...I get the concept but I think it was just badly done.

Totally agree with you about the Halloween outfit. In fact, I think all the Halloween outfits are terrible. I'm not fond of the face paint on Frankie, but nothing a lil acetone can't cure!

Ha, too late, she messaged me last night and I bought four more dresses, which brings me up to a grand total of...nine? Nine. I can't wait until they all get in!

I have pink and red, ordered orange, black, and white last week, and last night I ordered purple, blue, and both greens. I just need a solid yellow for a rainbow!

I'm not a big fan of Nefera either but I had to have her!! She looks better with Cleo's wrappings on her legs she looks like a streetwalker!!

Nope, you're not alone - I love all of that too! Especially after it was explained that their designs are highly stylized versions of the classic movie monster get-ups. I'm EXTREMELY excited about the whole line, and am hoping like crazy that they add a second wave of Lagoona, Spectra, Holt and Operetta! (Can you imagine Operetta in a stylized phantom costume? Or Holt in jazzed up Victorian-esque duds? *swoon!*)
