Does anyone know when the Halloween dolls are going to be released? I'm sure it won't be for some time, but I'm dying to know! I want this new Frankie almost as much as I want that Arachne!

Oh, and this special contains that Venus McFlytrap or something, right? Isn't she supposed to be one of four new dolls coming out?

I do believe they are set to be released around Halloween this year. But like with everything else in this line you never know for sure.

P.S. I just read somewhere that Arachne is going to be produced after all. OMG! OMG! I hope it's true. I'll be on cloud nine...I'll have to buy like three of them! Same with the new Halloween Frankie! Or at least twins of each...

It might not be a reliable source. Someone posted yesterday (2/11) that they'd read Arachne's being produced. Who knows? There was no link to an official source. I think the forum was Specktra...

A trademark has been filed for a character named Threaderella. Apparently, it's the same person who does the MH trademark filing and she's listed as a doll. We don't know for a fact that it's actually AJ, but based on collector reaction to the prototype shown, and that it seems like a very weaver/spider kind of names, it's most likely her. Of course it's a rather stupid and "un-MH" kind of name, but it could always be a working name. It's not unusual for a company to trademark a name they might use, and then not use it.

If I had to guess on the anticipated release time of the Halloween dolls, I'd imagine we'll start to see them about a month or so before Halloween. They're meant to tie into a feature length film, so I imagine Mattel won't allow retailers to place early orders- but they'll want them trickling into stores before the film comes out.

I would LOVE for Arachne to be produced! She's so unusual and pretty. More arms = more fun!

I also think it would be awesome if they released Headmistress Bloodgood, but she HAS to come in a pack with Nightmare! (Her pony!)

Scarah on the other hand is really boring, glad to see at least they haven't rushed to put her out. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good doll opportunity to me. Well, I guess she would fit in alright as a CAM, they're not so detailed, and have already been used to release background characters. The vampire girl CAM was part of Gory's entourage in Fright On!, and I suspect one of the new CAM girls we saw in the Toy Fair video is the pink cat girl.

Going off of what I've read, the bodies can be dyed, but painting is recommended. The bodies don't take dye as easily, and they can "bleed" later on. I haven't attempted dyeing myself, but I know a bunch of people on the LJ have discussed it.
